If you like reading “Principles of Accounting", then by all means take it. If you want your teachers do what you pay them to do, take someone else. She is very knowledgeable, and is a nice enough person, Just not a great "teacher." All you will do all semester is go over homework.

You have to teach yourself. We did NOTHING but busy work the last three weeks and everyone was lost taking the final exam. She is a really nice lady and gives you a chance to get extra credit. The class starts out good but goes down hill towards the end.

Mrs. Sheffield really sucks at teaching - she assigns homework and gives out answers. If youre not willing to teach yourself then dont take her class. And dont dare ask questions. she will just make fun of you...Shes pretty cold hearted...

she doesnt teach in class, she just goes over the homework. she is very unhelpful, i asked her for help one day and she scoffed at me and told me to go to the lab and get grad students to help me. otherwise a nice lady i guess. avoid taking her class though.

This class was extremely confusing. She is nice but she does not know how to teach accounting. She is not helpful...don't answer questions or e-mails. Tests for all accounting students a lot of times, I did not know a lot of things on the test. Find somebody else.

the class is very self taught, all we would do in class is go over the homework assignments. If you dont understand, good luck getting help from her. her handwriting sucks also. I went to her after class one day to ask for help and she scoffed at me and told me to go to the accounting lab tutors for help.

Ms. Sheffield knows accounting, but not the best at teaching it. Her handwriting is horrible, and she is often unclear when she speaks. Overall, the 3 tests aren't too bad...multiple choice/short answer. Do all homework assignments...they are pretty easy. Gives extra-credit.

It is clear that she knows a lot about acct. but she isn't that great at teaching it. She is really sweet though and gives lots of extra credit assignments, but she waits til the end of the semester to assign them. Make sure you always do the homework!

Not the greatest, but not the worst. I did well for most of the semester, probably because I took an accounting class in high school, but she doesn't prepare you well for the last exam (noncumulative). Take her if no one else is available, but you can do better.

She is a very sweet lady, and really knows her stuff. But, she is unclear and babbles a lot. She is willing to help, but even then doesn't explain things well. If you are good at Accounting then you can get an A...otherwise, steer clear and take someone else.

i loved her. she s got to be one of the nicest teachers ever. gives tons of extra credit which really helps for the ghetto ACCT scale. over all she prob gave 100 extra points out of the 1000. sheffield, rominger, or woods are the ones for ACCT

Easy, sweet, helpful teacher. Make sure you read the text, because you will learn very little in class. Workload is easy and tests aren't too hard. Great teacher for Accounting as long as you understood Principle I rather well.
