Dr. Becker's kindness and approachability match her high intelligence. I like how she motivates us to talk about science, and think critically and creatively. She is in high demand but somehow makes time to meet with every student/group in the class. Would highly recommend her as a prof/supervisor.

In this discussion based class, Dr. Becker taught us how to critically read scientific papers. We also brainstormed cool experiments that could fix any problems we saw in experimental design. She always picked cool articles and amazed us with how much she knows about everything Psychology! Great class if you like to learn!

Supposed to be a university statistics course. However, we spent an entire week learning about mean, median and mode. She is very disorganized, constantly making mistakes in lectures and on tests, she takes forever to hand back marks, and she is just wishy washy.

Dr. Becker is very passionate about her area of research. She really wants her students to do well, but more importantly she wants them to learn. She can sometimes be a bit scattered but she means very well. I think she's a great prof.

I am confused by all these comments about Dr Becker being disorganized and unapproachable. Cog Neuro was extremely well structured and she even arranged 1 on 1 meetings with every student to talk about their presentation. This was a really valuable class for me, thanks to Dr. Becker.

Pretty much the worst prof I have ever had. She is easy enough, but takes months to get back marks. That's right, for a multiple choice test worth 20 marks takes a month to get the result. Extremely boring and just the most unhelpful professor as she does not provide her email out to her students. Very disappointing.

not a good professor - M/C tests took up to 4 weeks to get back - assignments over 5 weeks to get back - does not respond to emails - tones of reading - not very clear and tests were very hard - very disorganized course - wish i never took it

I enjoyed Dr. Becker as a professor for this class, however the tutorials were awful and very disorganized. I felt as if I wasted too much time going to these tutorials and not relateable to the actual content of the course.However, Becker was awesome. I recommend this course if you are interested in the field of Neuropsych, but work hard.

Honestly I took the course because it seemed interesting, and as it turns out it not only is lowering my gpa but i have also killed all my time working on pointless projects. The TA's have no idea what they are doing, very few individuals actually knew ANY marks going into the exam, or better yet some didn't know anything.Don't take it.

While I have no qualms about the midterm, I find the tutorials to be the most pointless thing alive, not only does she herself not know what's going on, neither do the TAs. Berating us as little kids on how to keep eye contact? I took this class to learn neuropsych, not be told how to keep eye contact, makes me not want to take 3BN3

I really enjoyed Sue Becker as a professor. Neuropsych was a very interesting course...the TA classes were very dry and boring, but the lectures Becker had were great.And to all who are still complaining about the midterm.....GET OVER IT!! It was a complete misunderstanding and she did everything she could to compensate us....GREAT CLASS!

Please take my advice and avoid this class if possible. The mid-term was a complete disastor, students switched rooms with exams in hand and then were allowed to keep that test mark. Tutorials are a waste of time, lots of group projects like presentations and essays. Articles were difficult to understand and TA's were little help.
