He's the type of professor who tries to push students to think outside the box and make those hidden connections that are not explicitly stated, but provides an insufficient base for students to do so. Some assignment questions just need to be googled because we can't do it at our level which completely defeats the purpose of even putting it on.

Proofs are mediocre at best, sometimes copied from the textbook. Textbook used is free but garbage. Go spend some money and get a real textbook. His explanations are very cloudy and ambiguous. Not a good prof for an introductory algebra course. Lots of proofs no examples. Assignments take forever because they're way too hard for our level.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Did an amazing job organizing the course in a logical manor and choosing the right topics to cover. Went into it thinking I would hate it and ended up being my favourite course that term.

He is such a nice prof. Very easy to approach. He's good at explaining, though the material was pretty hard near the end. I wasn't sure how the ideas connected together to make sense (Godel's Incompleteness Theorems). Just be aware if you take this course, it's hard to understand! The tests were hard but the marks seem to have been adjusted.
