Madame Drolet is incredible. So caring and helpful, both during and outside of class. She speaks so clearly I think just listening to her has improved my pronunciation. 107 was outside my comfort zone at first in terms of the high amount of speaking in class, but was so rewarding. Put in the work and it's not hard to do well. You'll learn SO much

I love this professor! She is super nice and tries to make class interesting. She also shows an interest in her students personally, which I really appreciated. She is a great teacher and I noticed that my French improved so much when she was my teacher. I definitely recommend taking her class if you want to do French at UVM.

She's an incredible professor and I would love to have her again, but she definitely makes you work for your grades. Pay attention in class, read the few pages of textbook that she assigns, and at least try to do the homework. She's super helpful if you ask questions.

Professor Drolet is a kind and caring professor. While this class is far from difficult, she does begin to expect that you are proficient in French, and it can be hard at times to keep up with this class. At this level, you will begin to see students that are practically fluent in the language, and she expects all students to keep up.

Madame Drolet is amazing. I had never taken French before (I'm the only person in my class who hasn't, which was kinda intimidating) but she makes this class my absolute favorite. She genuinely cares about every student and always wants to make sure you understand the material. I highly recommend her! Such a sweet lady and totally brightens my day!

Mme Drolet is my favorite professor; her class is like a talk with friends about French short stories rather than a real seminar class. Very helpful and friendly. She's a supremely difficult grader on the compositions (which we complete at home; no tests!), but those can be easier if you use a dictionary and proof-read. Awesome class, learned a lot

Prof Drolet is a super nice lady! I love her personality.... her teaching style isn't the best match for me. She doesn't really teach us much.... she expects us to learn the grammar at home from the book, which nobody does. In class we talk about books or dictees. But, she's one of the nicest people i've ever met!

The most caring and angelic professor I've had. Freshman year I went to her in tears, frustrated by an F on one of her exams. She went through the whole thing with me: calm, kind, supportive, not at all judgmental. I think about that moment all the time when I lose hope in academia!

Madame Drolet was the best French teacher I have ever had and I have been taking French since I was 3. She likes to see and knows when you are trying your hardest. If she sees that you are struggling in the class, she will come to see you and make sure everything is going well. She really cares about her students!

Best french professor I have had at UVM. She is so friendly and makes it easy to ask for help. My writing skill improved DRAMATICALLY. She is a top quality professor. I highly recommend taking her courses if you have any interest at all in the French language.

I have nothing bad to say about Mme Drolet. She was understanding, encouraging, and in a class based on oral participation she still managed not to put anyone on the spot and embarrass them. Very easy to talk to, funny, responded quickly to emails...chose great class material. I loved her and wish she taught all my french classes.
