Comment:

Dr. Murray is a very smart women with a very simple teaching style. She gives plenty of extra credit and gives very little homework. While some lectures might drag on in the beginning, don't let that deter you from sticking with her to the end.

Dr. Murray is really passionate about what she teaches! She gives very good and clear feedback on all assignments. She also will assign extra credit homework and lectures for opportunity to bring up your grade. She is really sweet.

Comment:

I had Dr. Murray for Ancient History I and she was an absolutely amazing professor. Most of her lectures were engaging and easy to follow, and she and her Graduate Assistant were always available to help. She grades a little tough, but she always offers really good feedback on her tests and quizzes and explains what you can do to get a better grade

She is a very kind old soul and knows her stuff, she is there to help. Her tests are very specific, you need to know the dates and you most definitely have to attend classes and READ your books. It took me a while to figure out her game, but once I did I was on it, I could've gotten an A if I knew how to work her class. She is a harsh grader though

She truly is one of the best history professors at USF besides her husband. A majority of your grade is based on 4 tests, extra credit, and a couple of simple in class assignments. She's super nice and is almost always accessible to reach outside of class. I would recommend her to anyone!

Suzanne Murray is a wonderful teacher! She focuses more on the art of the subject then just reading off of power point slides. Everything on her study guide is pretty much guaranteed on her tests! Go to her office she loves it when students do! Class based on 3 tests, some in class work, and some homework.

She's amazing! Quirky older woman who's very passionate about what she teaches. As long as you go to class and takes notes, you'll be fine. She posts study guides for all of her quizzes and most of her assignments are simple and in class. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

She is very enthusiastic about the subject material. She is very nice and can joke around in a sort of history geeky kind of way. Gives many opportunities for extra credit, and though the tests aren't the easiest things in the world, they aren't too hard and she gives detailed study guides to fill out.

I wasn't too fond of the her teaching because she came across as dull and boring which sometimes led to me falling asleep or not paying attention. But I still liked the class, the topics were interesting and the TA's are awesome! Her exams are mediocre not hard but not the easiest. STUDY UP! If anything, the TA's will study with you.

Class was very interesting. Attendance not mandatory, however I strongly recommend going, for taking notes is VERY important. Tests are straight forward if you do the study guides.TA sessions are helpful. Only thing to watch out for are the essays. Very picky about the information needed in each essay. Do hw, listen in class = A

She is amazing. She has clear and concise lectures; the tests she gives out is straight out of them and GA sessions. The reading kind of helps with some early parts but you can do away without. I am getting an A+ and I barely do anything. Also, before a test, she gives out a very detailed study guide. Make some flash cards and you will pass.

Dr. Murray is a great teacher. I learned a lot in her class. I got an A+ in her class. Attendence is not mandatory (expect for small group Fridays) but I suggest you go. There are a few assignments, none are difficult and they do help you understand the material. The tests were pretty easy. The tests went over lecture and homeworks. Recommend!

Never went to the lectures, went to small sections, Had I bothered doing any of the extra credit offered and not missed several small sections I would have had an A. It's and easy class if that's what your looking for, and if you actually want to learn it's good for that too, Exam reviews are amazing and Dr Murray is extremely knowledgable

Great teacher. Very passionate about ancient history which makes for great and interesting lectures. The test is mainly based on her lectures, and she is sure to repeat important points several times. Tests are pretty easy. TA's are helpful and will lend you their notes if you miss class with a legit reason. Overall pretty cool and interesting
