Very unorganized, has a hard time creating a course schedule. Intriguing lectures the first couple of weeks but then lectures become redundant. Text book is your chance to pass the class.

Honestly, this Prof is the hardest I have ever had. Her tests and quizzes were so difficult that even the kid that loves history failed her tests. Read the textbook over and over but still failed the quizzes with a 50 or less.

I wanted to like her but her class was unnecessarily difficult. It felt like she wanted you to be a historian by the end of the semester (dates/numbers memorized and all). Her lectures drag on. I taught myself that class just by reading the book like a maniac. She was barely insightful or helpful. Your time is better spent elsewhere, I assure you.

Lecture heavy as stated but there are chapter pre-quizzes for each chapter of the textbook. If you use youtube videos it will help tremendously on these quizzes and tests because the textbook gets hard to follow. I prefer using Crash Course to help study the main topics on the tests. As for the textbook it is required for use on the writing papers.

I took the course online and it was the hardest thing ever. Although the syllabus is clear, the study guides are useless with her tests, you will have 2 opportunities but still nothing in tests is on the study guides

This class is misrepresented. There is lots of reading required, but it's worth it. There aren't quizzes over "unknown material," the quizzes are over a chapter in the book you've read. Her lectures are clear and intriguing. Study guides are detailed/helpful. This class requires work, but it's college level & she wants you to succeed. I recommend!!

Worst professor I have ever had. Had a quiz before each lecture without ever going over the material. The study guide for the exams had 75 key terms and she only would use 7 in her exams. Her lectures were so scattered and did not correlate to the material what so ever. If you want a somewhat pleasant experience do NOT take her.

She quizzes before having the lecture. I got 69% as a final grade which was 1 point away from a pass, but she never gave me that point. Plus, to make it much clearer on how tough her classes are, we started with 28 students in the class and by the end of the semester we were 7. I wonder why more than half the class dropped it? IT'S OBVIOUS !!

I took Professor Summer's online US History 1 class this past Spring semester. It was very straight forward. You just read the material, do the assignments, and take her tests by the deadline. It is an easy A if you do what you're supposed to. I have no complaints. I enjoyed her class.

Total of 5 tests and two online papers in her online course. I received a 100% on my paper but failed the tests. After reading the chapters, answering the study guides, and writing out her outlines; the tests were still impossible. I emailed her to discuss my grade and options and her short answer made it seem like she didn't have time for me.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Avoid at all costs. Incredibly unorganized, tests on material that wasn't taught. Expect two quizzes a week over chapter material that she A) hasn't reviewed with you yet, and B) will not review with you after you bomb them, even though you read the material, in or outside of class.

The lack of quality teaching, her course does not follow her syllabus and her lecture material has nothing to do with the quizes nor testes. Over 20 drop her class for Fall 2017 TT 10:30-11:50 class.

Does not communicate with the students outside of class. I asked for multiple one on one visits and she would just blow it off. None of her test are what she teaches. She was the worst professor ever.

US History 1 Online class. I had no problems in fact, I got an A. You just need to pay close attention to her syllabus, turn in the assignments on time, do the required reading and study for the exams. Very straight forward class. I recommend.

I took her online Hist 1301 course. The syllabus was pretty clear about expectations. I did the writing assignments, took the online chapter quizzes, and still made an A, even though my test grades were around 70%. Professor responded within a day any time I sent her an email.

There is no flow to her teaching style or curriculum. Example the syllabus may have you in chapter 2 , but she will teach things from chapter 4. Often skipping over key items that are in the book and online quizzes. If you do not read ahead it is nearly impossible to follow. Often her lectures will contradict the book as well. Good Luck on tests!

I did her Distance learning class and you definitely have to do the study questions and study them. She was helpful by reviewing my answers to the study guide if I turned it in promptly. I luckily received a B in her class by doing the Book Analysis which I dont think she read because it was garbage.
