Professor Marino is one of the best professor I have taken. He goes through each and every subject matter slowly and makes sure the whole class is on the same wavelength. His grading criteria is very clear and his exams are also very easy. Take his class for an easy A and you will learn the basic of accounting as well.

Professor Marino is the best. He is a nice guy and cares about his students. He makes accounting easy to learn -- reviewing the material multiple times. He wants everyone to get an A as long as you put in the effort. I would take him again!

Great teacher! Explains everything clearly and makes sure that everyone is on the same page every now and then. A lot of homework but before the final he lets the students know the priorities like which homework is more related to the final exam or which homework can be skipped if you have no time. The lectures are interesting. Enjoyed his class.

Highly recommend this professor. He is very friendly and approachable. The course consisted of a midterm, final, attendance, and a term paper (he gives you full credit as long as you do it). He also assigns hw that he goes over in the next class. The exams are 50 MCQs, very straight forward, no surprises. Do the work and you will get an A.

This is a very easy professor. I believe almost everyone got an A in his course. He seemed to be a good guy who taught auditing through a narrative style, consisting of relevant news clippings and his personal work experiences. While the material was easy, the lectures were long and at times painfully boring.

Good prof, knows his subject very well. Trying to crack some accounting jockes but I'm kind of far from that) take some notes , listen to him in class , read , do hw. If something isn't clear make sure you ask him , he will explain everything throughout ... His style of teaching is slow, but I would recommend him to any one 100%

I took this course over the summer; professor really touched on all the vital information, we did a practice set of an audit all semester long and we were tested twice (non cumulative). I took the Audit section of the CPA exam in conjunction with his course (using Becker) and passed, which I think says alot about this professor. I would recommend

Comment:

Great teacher who makes accounting seem interesting. High text book use and handwritten HW. Likes involuntary class participation and calls on everyone at least one each class. Test are straight forward and easy if you do HW. Better than any accounting teacher at Pace I've had since him . Can't wait to take him again.

Prof.Marino is a great, smart, and funny. Explains new material very thorough and well. You will need the textbook and it has to be a new edition. If you study the material he teaches then the tests will be easy. If you will attend and pay attention you will get an A. Take him!

Best accounting professor at Pace University! He really cares about ensuring his students understand fundamental accounting concepts without babying students. I did a lot of work for this class, but I came out really understanding accounting. Prof. Marino is also very approachable and helpful if you have any questions in terms of homework.

Awesome teacher. Makes a boring subject bearable. Expect to do homework from textbook, write a few simple term papers, and he counts attendances toward final results (5%). I like that he tries to integrate what is important in the accounting world today (eg IFRS) with our topics in class.

I took the class during a five-week summer session in July, 2011. It was hard to sit five days a week for 3 hours every day. Prof. Marino made it look easy. You have a lot of homework and you are going to be called on the spot to give your homework or "self-tests" answers, but it helps a lot. I got an A. Listen to what is on the exams.

Professor Marino is the best! Even if his class seems a little boring and dry, getting an A for his class is a piece of cake.
