Be ready to read, a lot of his work. But his writing is great, his manner in class can best be described as tough and challenging. Challenges your beliefs, asks you to defend them, and is dismissive if you will not. Old school break you down and rebuild you tactics. Still have my reading list from his classes. Opened a link to Indigenous authors.

Thankful to have learned with one of the amazing Indigenous intellectuals of our time. He respectfully challenges learners to strive for excellence as emerging scholars in research, writing, & public speaking. He is very generous and bought class dinners, made class meals, and supportive to me in life. Possibly the most engaging ind intellectual!

Extremely righteous and not willing to listen to other POVs. His way or the Highway. Not willing to be helpful or assisting of students. If you are not to be of his likeness in nature, then you will not last in his classes. Left a sour note to my academic experience.

A brilliant leader and educator. Taiaiake is an inspiration for indigenous peoples and non-indigenous peoples alike. By example, he shows us what true commitment looks like & he challenges us all to strive for an authentic and free human existence. He reminds us that who we were is who we still are. Remember??
