Professor Kimura has a wealth of knowledge on the subject. However, be prepared to write, erase, rewrite, and watch several places on the chalkboard at once. Professor Kimura speaks clearly, answers questions well, and cares about the knowledge of his students, but his messiness on the board makes his lectures hard to follow sometimes.

Smart professor but that doesn't mean he's good at teaching. If you don't understand what's going on in lecture, don't bother asking him a question in office hours. He'll just tell you to look over the textbook. Overall, not very helpful.

Not very helpful at explaining the concepts. Seems nice during lecture but that's obviously because he has to be. He's actually rather condescending and rude. Don't expect to do well on the exams. Grades are based on the class average, creating a competitive course dynamic.

He complicates basic concepts. Most of this stuff I learned in calc 1 but sitting in his lectures confused me on things I already knew. He focuses a lot on deriving formulas than how to implement them. Not helpful in my opinion. Learned most on what I know by watching YouTube videos tbh

He seems clear and organized at first, but his explanations get worse as the course goes on. Hard to follow his lectures, and he is very boring. Easy to fall asleep. He is a nice guy, and sometimes funny. His notes won't help much, and I found it better to study on my own

Kimura is a nice guy, but he couldn't present the calculus 2 concepts well to us. His lectures were copied straight from the book. The tests are from the study guides, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The homework is graded pretty harshly and is difficult. Really, I would recommend a different teacher who can explain series and sequences better.

So Takashi seems like a good professor in lecture...until you try to do the graded homework he assigns. It's 10 times harder than what he shows you in class, and it's graded VERY strictly. Needless to say, after two F's on the homework I decided I'd had enough of Takashi. If you haven't already studied Calc 2, don't take this class!

Excellent teacher, took a difficult subject and made it easy enough (not to say it was easy though) Very approachable, practice exams were perfect for preparation for exams. Homeworks are graded very hard though.

He is probably the best math teacher i've ever had. He's approachable in and out of class , soft spoken, extremely intelligent and really good at explaining topics fully and clearly. Homeworks are graded and tough. Tests aren't that bad though. Take his class.
