Comment:

I had no idea what was to be tested as her class facilitated nothing on note-taking. She simply directed me to read the textbook when I asked a question. Did not seem to have any interest in the students' success and clearly lack the motivation to understand the students' struggles.

Comment:

Very disappointed. No notes for this class, which would be fine if Dr. Ivanco lectured well, but she barely covered anything, was boring and unclear. The textbook was frustrating since it had so much unnecessary material, but you had to read all if it because EVERYTHING (text and lecture) was testable. Was expecting so much more from this class.

Her marking was all over the place and very unclear. She was rude to students. Her mood jumped around a lot and that dictated how the lecture went. Her lecture notes were bare minimum and she doesn't put anything online to help you out. Basically anything she says at any time is fair game for an exam so write EVERYTHING down.

Comment:

Dr. Ivanco required us to read a lot of journal articles rather than a textbook. Participation counted towards your final grade. She also seemed to be a bit of a hard ass... no phones, no talking, etc. Overall it was an interesting class that consisted only of presentations by students, she didn't lecture so not sure what her lectures would be like

Didn't miss any class, read textbook, submitted papers before due dates, participated in class but still came out with a C+ : 3 papers 3 tests and a few assignments. She is very rude, often doesn't know what her presentation notes consists of, very disorganized and often doesn't answer question. loved the subject before taking her class not anymore

You will definitely need the textbook; she took points out of that and added it into the midterms, things she did not mention in class so you need to make the effort and read on your own. I found her very fair and the midterms fairly easy, as long as you studied.

Took PSYC1200 with Tammy a few years ago and have found her to be one of my worst profs. Got one of my worst grades with her. There are 6 tests and they all are on details from the textbook with maybe the odd questions from a lecture. She's pretty rude, but smart. Still better with her than taking the other psych courses with online lectures.

Textbook is a must!! Her tests are pretty much all based on the textbook, with little (if any) stuff from lectures. But her lectures are fun and I did learn some fun things during her lectures which I consider valuable

Dr. Ivanco's lectures were long, boring and very disorganized. I stopped going to class and studied from the textbook on my own which got me my A+. I would still recommend her to other students. If you're not willing to put in the effort, then don't expect the grades. READ THE TEXTBOOK! She takes minor details from it, so the notes are useless.

Dr Ivanco is super rude towards her students. Lots of room for free points in this course but the midterms are tough. This prof is very unapproachable I will never take a class with her again, lectures are also painful to get through

I don't think she's as bad a prof as people say. She can be strict sometimes but as long as you don't talk or come late, she's fine. You can do fine in this class with just the textbook, but if you listen to her and read, you'll do great.

Doesn't like other points of view, other than her own. Is rude when answering questions and is very strict. Thinks she can communicate telopathically with students by staring at them awkwardly. Says the tests are off lecture material when really they are out of the textbook. Overall, awful prof.

awful prof. She is very hostile and it shows that she is not interested in teaching. She is unapproachable and rude to individual students. Forces you to go to her office hours and talk to her by giving you marks. I will never take another psychology class again.

She is really good at explaining and the midterms are easy... BUT YOU MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK!! (her notes won't cut it) She is however very unapproachable and extremely rude to students. Answers emails, but answers aren't helpful.
