An extremely talented artist who has lived everywhere and has the stories to prove it. Will talk your ear off and doesn't put up with slacking off but really cares about the process and wants you to succeed. I had never taken any Print Making classes before hers and I ended up doing well in the class. Overall Tanja's a super cool person to know.

Beyond simply being an amazing artist, Tanja is a fantastic teacher. There was never a moment when a student come to her for help, and she always gave it happily. While she is quite patient, there were students in my section who repeatedly ignored instructions and showed general lack of respect, and I suspect their grades (deservedly) suffered.

Tanja is awesome..real sweet woman. Her syllabus and project instructions make her sound nazi... but its just her writing style. Shes really cool & fun in person and very laid back. Class demands a lot of time-be prepared to work 5-6 hrs on each piece. She's flexible on extensions though. She doesn't take off for lateness if u ask n advance..GREAT!

At first, she was kinda Nazi about the neatness. Initially very discouraging to novice printers. Wonderfully nice woman, very worldy and cultured. Tough but fair grader. Very encouraging. Likes to see you working before and after classes. Eager to transform all of her students, especially the freshmen, into at least studio art minors.

She'll work your butt off but it's very worth it. She's an easy grader and has a greate sense of humor. She's brilliant and articulate (although english is not her first language) and she's the most tallented artist of all time. You will feel wholly inadequate but delighted to know her.

Adds experience (from Bosnia) and insight from professional career. Allows artisti freedom in an intro class...has "exhibits" for fun instead of critiques. I'm a recent graduate- one of my fav classes. :)

Tanja is awesome, one of the most interesting and nice profs I've had. If you're looking to fill your art requirement with something that will actually be fun and challenging, take printmaking! Careful though... she might turn you into and art major!
