There are a ton of homework assignments. These are ok though cuz if you even just attempt it then correct it in class, you get full credit. The exams are super hard though! You do everything in JMP then the exams are of random other stuff. She also expects you to basically never ask questions and never be confused about the software.

Dr. Peterson knows her stuff. She is very intelligent and cares about the subject matter. She speaks very fast as there is lots of material to cover in a short period of time. I learned a ton from this teacher and felt like she genuinely cared about my education.

Probably one of the strongest professors I had this semester. I felt like the lectures were easy to follow. The syllabus was on point with zero changes. Contacting her during office hours is easy and she give good feedback. I liked her prepared notes for the JMP part. I wouldn't discourage anyone from taking her class.

Professor Peterson has been one of the worst professor I have taken a class from so far. She refused to answer questions and when you did ask a question she would yell at you for not paying attention. She is very hard to approach and does not make any effort to form a relationship with her students. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Dr. Peterson is brilliant. She is tough, but as she often says, she doesn't give you grades, you earn them. If you expect to put in a minimal effort, you won't do well, but if you do the work, there is no reason you shouldn't pass.

Despite starting this class with a working knowledge of statistics, I found the content towards the end of the semester challenging. She gives lots of homework, but it is all scheduled out on the syllabus, so it's easy to keep up. She's very willing to help/answer questions. Overall, a good instructor.

So much work throughout the class; most of which was not taught the best. used a software that no one was familiar with, including the professor, and became dependent on it, then had to take the final in class and had no idea what I was doing.

I've already taken this course through another school, but had to retake it because my credit didn't transfer. While this should have been a review, the JMP program ISU uses and the way Peterson teaches it is HORRIBLE. I went to the professor for help several times and she only confused me more. 010 would NEVER another class from her again.

I have already taken stats and passed it with a high grade, but I had to take this class because it is business stats. Basically it was the same as my last class except instead of actually learning stats, you learn how to use a program and you learn to depend on it instead of actually know how to so stats. She hardly taught the program in class.

Peterson is a great professor! Homework does take awhile to do but I've never learned so much in one class. The class moves at a very fast pace but it definitely prepares you for your future classes. She's willing to help you out on homework and can go over your test to see what you did wrong. No curve on anything so be prepared and don't slack!

I thought this professor was very clear in her lectures. I had a great time in her class. I liked the way she taught and provided fill in the blank notes. All the other notes that was provided was also very helpful. Also she did not give a lot of homework problems, and all that she does assigned were relevant to the test or final.

Comment:
Homework takes a long time mostly due to inserting special characters, rather than actually learning the concepts. The formalities take so much time that it is hard to do any extra studying on the concepts. I love math, but this class is mainly about doing things Dr. Peterson's way. She is too detail-oriented. Too little attn given to main ideas.

Dr. Peterson likes to use jargon in order to make the material less easy to understand. Don't bother reading the textbook, as she outlines what she wants you to learn in her printable notes. Do all of the homework. She does not allow students to look at past exams unless under her watchful eye. Avoid this prof.

Teri is a very tough teacher. She is very experienced which makes it very hard for her to relate to students. She talks about going to school at nice california colleges and liking it so it leads me to believe she loved school and tests, which means she is crazy about tests. She is unclear and her tests are very hard. If you have a choice skip her.

This class should have been much harder, but she made it easy. She makes her class fun and is very likeable. Not extremely approachable, but if you ask for help she willingly gives it. She travelled to the IF campus just so that we didn't have to take the class online, and that was extremely helpful. I would take her class again.

Teri is very knowledgeable and passionate about Stats. Her notes on Moodle are amazing and she does a great job clearly explaining the material. She does assign a lot of homework, and missing class is a fatal error since everything is gone over in class and she won't go over the notes with you if you miss it.

Smart/Experienced Statistician but not a great teacher (to me) Has note printouts on moodle but forgets to give you all the info for assignments sometimes during lecture. expect 6-8 hours of homework per week (not an exaggeration) available to see for help but hours of availability are limited. assigns work from book but wants answers her way.

On time, usually early. Was available. Basically pleasant. Knowledgeable. Did not give enough instruction to complete homework.I Had to Google/Tutor ALOT.told us she meant it that way. Repeatedly told us what the "real world" was like. Spending 9-10 hrs @ job, spending another 3-4 on homework we hadn't rec'd enough instruction to do..NOT priceless.
