What a waste of a class and a professor. Taking the trash out is more productive than anything that was accomplished in this class. I earned a B, no thanks to Dr. Goins. She left all of us completely clueless on the assignment and we had to figure it out on our own. GOOD LEADERSHIP...NOT. Take it with Perkins. Class is a joke anyway.

fun class, basically she just gave us most of class to talk among ourselves about a topic which usually took no time at all and then we spent maybe 15 minutes discussing our groups answers with the class...do the homework and you should do fine

this course is much better than 220. instead of a massive paper there are only 10 short homework assignments. less stressful on the whole. will accept work late, altho she does dock points. cancels class a lot (either for workshops or b/c she's sick often). rarely writes notes on board.

she rocks! she is very sweet, has kids (so duh, shes understanding) and tries to make a boring subject interesting! i love dr. goins. she is way more laid back than dr. perkins and colvin, but if you like it rough...... suit yourself! i vote for goins :-)

Dr. Goins is AWESOME!!! I learned SOO much in her class it's not funny. If you are actually interested in leadership you will love the class. If you go into it with an "I hate this" attitude then you attitude will screw you over and you probablly will hate it which is your lose. Dr. Goins is very helpful and is very easy to talk to.

Second semester I've had her, and she's definitely harder in 210. She's nice and friendly, but not a great teacher. Most of the class depends on doing the assigned reading, and the reading is painful and uninteresting. She also doesn't tell you very much about the tests and final, so you pretty much have to guess on what to study.

Goins is a sweet lady and very interesting, but sometimes lacks clarity in her instructions. I found it hard to understand exactly what she wanted sometimes. However, she's willing to answer questions and will help students understand whenever possible. Might not be the best for strong "J" people ;)

Class is HARD! 15 page paper, bad tests.. Unless you are in PLP don't bother with this class. If you are in PLP, well good luck. She wants the class to have a bell curve of a C. This seems somewhat normal until you realize...you NEED a C+ to continue in PLP. Over half the people will be kicked out of PLP because of this so say goodbye to you $

Prof. Goins is well meaning and friendly, but her method of teaching is usually in the form of a random disjuncted lecture, involving large lists of information that cannot be easily applied or learned, or even connected with the course at times.

Prof. Goins is an awesome teacher. Most peopl say she talks abotu her family too much, but she only mentions them when something about them helps illustrate a point she is trying to teach the class. It helps me relate to the subject matter. SHe is patient and kind, and willing to repeat herself as much as you need it.
