All quizzes are online and are open-book. You do not need to speak in class which many people enjoyed. Terry is super nice and is a fair grader. I think almost everyone who showed up to class ended with at least a B-. The lectures were fun and informational. Terry welcomed questions, even after class. There was a lot of reading to do however.

Test are based on minutiae, so don't expect the main meaty material of any chapter to actually be on any test. Only 2 As on tests were awarded all semester. Also, misinformation was given to students in several instances. Personal stories also get way out of hand, which detracts from actually learning anything during lectures..

I absolutely loved her! She is cheerful and spunky, also nice and funny. I thought she knew a lot about the subject and gave many examples. I did well on all the tests, but I do know what people are talking about because not everyone passed. If you read the book in depth and take notes in class, you should do well on the tests!

I got excited to go to her class. She was just so funny and despite it being a lecture class, you felt like you were just having a conversation. You were actually interested in listening, paying attention and participating.

Great teacher but just terrible at writing test questions that make any sense. We never had more than 1 or 2 A test grades in the entire class each test. Also because she knows she is terrible at writing tests she will not give any of them back to you at the end of the semester. She does not want you scrutinizing her absurdly confusing questions.

I liked Terry as a person, but sometimes it didn't seem like she fully knew what she was talking about. Her quizzes were sometimes a little tricky, but honestly I think it's the only reason I ever picked up the textbook. Overall, it was a decent experience.

I LOVE Terry! She's an amazing professor and an amazing person! She's incredibly engaging, insightful, and knowledgeable in her field. Her tests are pretty difficult but she grades fair, going over questions to make sure a large portion of the class didn't get one wrong. Two or Three writing assignments, not too difficult. I love her!

Certainly not an "easy A" class, but if you're looking to learn about basic Psychology, I suggest taking a class with this professor. She's always happy to help out, but won't give breaks if you submit assignments late. Attending classes is very, very helpful, as she gives summaries of the chapters before each test and will pass out extra credit.

Great teacher! Very comprehensive. Relates topics to your life. Cares about her students. Never told her, but I think of her as one of my role models - holds the line, you have to do the work for her class, v. intelligent, experience in psych field, and also has heart.

Terry is a very nice person who truly cares that her students understand the topics being learned. She is always willing to give extra help when asked. Her tests are only difficult if you don't do the necessary work to prepare. She makes the class fun and the topics very interesting!

Terry is a great person and an even greater teacher. Her tests are difficult, but only for people who think they can skip reading and just listen in class and get a good grade. You cannot just attend class and listen. You MUST read the book. This is not the class for you if you're looking for an easy A, but it is a really interesting, fun, class.

This is not the class, or Professor you take when you're looking for an easy A as an overall grade. There is an optional study guide to the text I highly suggest getting. Not mandatory, but makes earning a high grade much easier. Terry is cheerful and witty, an excellent teacher who brings passion and understanding to the classroom every morning.

Many people thought that her tests were impossible but I disagree! If you go to class and do the readings you should be fine. I definitely studied the material, but its interesting! Definitely recommend.

No study guides. You have to memorize the whole text book to even attempt to pass a test. She is a cool person though. I just don't recommend taking her class if you want study guides and to know precisely what is on her tests. Lots of neurobiology in her psych 101 too!

Her tests are RIDICULOUS. She rants and raves about believing in students yet you can't pass her tests. The first day she bragged about 50% of he previous semester's students failing due to attendance. Had I stayed I would have failed. I had to drop the class. Needless to say I am getting an A in my new psych class.
