I LOVE Skip!!! I'm not great at science, but I got an A in his course. He uses take-home tests and his labs are easy if you have the resources, which saved my life. Loved the nostalgic VHS movies he'd show and the awesome field trips. He even let me take some awesome rocks home! Great prof.

I thought "Skip" was awesome. He made the class really fun and interesting! What also helped was our class was just overall amazing! Skip was extremely helpful with explaining material and he knew his stuff. I learned so much in this class. I suggest it to anyone. Also, everything is open note and open book! He's not going to trip you up!

Good prof, though doesn't really explain concepts in a different way if you're confused, but not for lack of trying. He's just very intelligent and so into the subject that i think he doesn't really understand what's confusing. Nice, funny guy. oceanography was great, geology was surprisingly difficult.
