My favorite professor so far at Tulane. He really knows his stuff, and his lectures include the most current and reliable research. He is so passionate about what he's teaching, and I wish I could take more classes with him. He's very helpful in office hours, and he works harder at preparing lectures than any other teacher I know.

There is NO text book and this can get really annoying since its not always clear what hes saying in class. He lectures very freely and studies that you can't really tell if they are important or not. Grades didn't seem to be accurate at the end even tho the tests are scantron.. hard to get an A.

This guy is real eccentric. But he knows a lot about what he's lecturing on. In Animal Behavior he always tells us about crazy field research he has actually done and how he is friendly with the scientists we're studying. Final is mandatory but you can get a different test grade dropped, all multiple choice Qs that you have to think a little.

"Animal Behavior" is really hard to do well in, but it is pretty interesting if that your thing. Still, he is so lazy that he gives us SAT style tests that he grades with a scantron, and then hes really inflexible about discussing grades. They test on obscure points and only 10% of my class got A's. Annoying

He knows a lot about evolutionary theory and isn't afraid to say when he doesn't know something about other fields. The class covers a lot of different topics, and I think he does it really well considering that some are not his field of study. If you go to class, take good notes, and read the assignments, you'll be fine and you'll learn a lot.

GUH, the MOST frustrating professor I have ever taken. He gives you concepts and instead of teaching them, tells you why he thinks they are wrong. This is not his forte. I understand this stuff and the idea behind this class and I am really struggling for my grades.

this class is AWFUL. don't take it unless you must, or if you really love talking about evolution. he is unclear with his notes, asks obscure questions on tests, and makes the class much more difficult than it should be. i study for hours and still find myself struggling.

he's a decent professor, not one of my favorites though. tests are multiple choice and easy if you go to class and take a few notes, definitly don't have to pay too close attention though. take him if you need to, but there are better psych professors if evolution isn't your thing

Very helpful handouts. Attendence only mandatory on quiz/test days since no make ups are given. Def take notes since its basically what his tests are about. Inclined to choose materials that he's interested and occasionally calls other psychology schools 'absurd'. Textbook unnecessary. Mediocre over all.

I've taken 3 classes with Dr. Christenson and they're definitely worth it. Go to class and the review sessions and write down everything he says and you'll do fine. Print out the outlines, they help so much. His classes are so interesting, and he's a funny, realistic guy.

i've had him for about 5 classes now and i wish there were more i could take. lecture classes: sometimes can be hard to follow but multiple choice tests are easy and lots of extra credit available. seminar classes: very different from lectures, small class, entirely discussion, helps you learn how to write/research in science. cool guy!!!!

The class is mildly interesting. Write down every word he says and ask questions if you're the least bit unsure about something. Don't expect him to help you during his office hours. He'll make you feel stupid for coming in.

i thought he was cool at first, but he's really weird. he never goes by the book, so might as well not read. i was pretty bored through lecture without any powerpoints or writing on the board. you pretty much write down whatever comes out of his mouth at 300mi/hr. hope you can still read your own handwriting. lots of people brought pcs.

Personally, his class was the one class i regret taking in my entire college experience. It was just so much work and so hard for a 100-level-course that is not even a part of my major. He may be great for the pysch fiends, but it really annoyed me to have to sweat so hard for no reason.
