Basically you are making a portfolio of 10 poems (its not that bad most of them are specifically prompted) and two short stories. You're being graded on improvement and attendance. You have to read out loud but its not bad everyone has to do it. Really great class loved listening to everyone's stories. Really helpful in his draft corrections.

10 poems 2 short stories...no deadlines and he will correct them as many times as you want before passing in the final copies. He does want you to read out loud so get over it, its really not that bad. Don't miss class he notices and doesn't appreciate it. Get the book and do the work and he'll help you out as much as possible.

He was pretty good, no deadlines or anything (which was kind of a bother). I felt like sometimes he didn't like the story so he was critical. but overall gave pretty good critiques on the work.

Very open format of class. Some people really liked it, some people preferred other methods. Rarely used text book. Sometimes class was good, sometimes it was awful, depending on what student was reading (heavily based on student work). Not the best prof. I've had, but certainly not the worst. Generally pretty helpful.

HE IS THE MAN, i loved him go to class and read the book and he will be good to you. be sure to answer questions in class the last paper is the hardest if you are in the class that does the salem witchcraft stuff. he offers another english course online. he is the man.

This class was by far my favorite this semester. Crouch is a good proffessor if your willing to put in the effort to get the most out of the class. He'll call you on your bull so actually do the work. Although he seems slightly intimidating, he'll help you out if you have any questions, so if you need the extra help, it's definitly worth getting.

Funny guy, dry humor. Boring classes. Easy class. Didnt read either books and got a B. Show up to class so he will like you better. You will not get as good a grade unless you write your essays on topics he wants.

Very booring. Not organized at all. When he tells us our writing must be perfect, and then hands out instructions with poor spelling, punctuation and grammer, he makes himself look like an idiot and confuses the class.
