Comment:
Preaches instead of teaches. Pushes his political and atheistic beliefs towards the students. He is incredibly disorganized, rambles for what seems like forever over topics that have nothing to do with the purpose of the class. His classes will make you absolutely miserable.

Truly enjoyed Terry's classes, passionate about his work. Although he doesn't typically lecture in the usual organized powerpoint-talk style, he lectures in a way that encourages student participation and discussion that follows readings. Cares more about his students gaining a larger understanding of the world more than nitty gritty grading.

I'll give him this, he is very passionate about what he teaches and knows a lot. That being said he is always very behind and it seems like he's rambling so it's hard to take notes, but it all ends up being relevant. He gives you test questions ahead of time and is a very nice guy though.

Amazing prof. Talks about macro/micro structures of the unnatural methods of urbanization, and how the world is affected by it.

Worst prof at AC. Preaches instead of teaches, was never prepared for class, and we always ran out of time. No organizational skills, and it seemed like he graded very haphazardly. I seriously don't know how he made tenure.

A lot of what you learn from Terry is outside a class. He teaches you to explore the world and issues around you and to question for yourself, not because a book tells you to. If you're a schedule/grade cruncher, he's not for you. But if you enjoy broad learning with the bigger picture, you'll appreciate him.

He is the worst professor I've had here. Preaches to the class some high minded crap, and doesn't actually teach anything. Runs out of time routinely, and we are so far behind that it's pathetic.

He's a very nice professor. Sometimes he seems to be too accommodating-- not grading make up assignments, not grading quizzes to check if you've read. That said the subject is interesting and he is a very nice professor. Don't expect anything too challenging.

Terry may not follow the books but he is one of the most interesting men you will ever meet. If you DO put forth the effort and do a little of your own research and don't expect him to throw answers in your face you will learn a lot from this class. He tries very hard and frankly kids take advantage of him for being so nice and accommodating.

He has to be one of the most unorganized people I have met in my entire life. I would never take another class with him. I did not know what he was talking about 99% of the time, never got my projects back, and the tests have junk on them he did not talk about in class.

Intro to Anth was very easy. He is very unorganized though, didn't read half of the books I bought. Lost 2 of my projects and gave me Bs on both. Classes are made very easy and just going in to talk to him will give you a B

This guy is a horible prof. Grading system is picked out of a hat. The books teach you squat, I kept up with the reading and did all of the work. He lost my paper, and gave me a B. Person sitting next to me did nothing and made an A. I think you need to shmooze him a little to get a good grade.

awful prof, I wonder how he ever got tenure. Routinely loses student papers, never keeps his office hours, never returns messages at all, randomly assigns grades at the end of the semester -- one guy did no papers, got an A, another did all papers, got B
