Comment:

Dr. Sincich is an amazing professor. The material is tough, and he definitely sets you up for success in this class. Get the Pro Copy guide, it will help you throughout the class. Attendance is not mandatory, but I would go to class every day just to stay on top of things, there is a lot of material covered.

Comment:

I took Dr. Sincich's hybrid class and it has been the easiest class ever. The class layout is very clear on the syllabus, there are four tests, seven quizzes and four written homeworks. Plus he gives extra credit where he can. I didn't get the book and I did fine. If you put your part this class will be an easy A.

Comment:

It was pretty much a hybrid class. His lectures were all online. My secret to passing his exams was to print out like 5 copies of the practice exams. Do the first one along with the online help. Use this as a solution sheet for grading the next 4 that you do on your own. It turns out a year and a half later, I really enjoy stats!

Comment:

I took Dr. Sincich during Fall of 2017 and the class was pretty easy. It was partially hybrid because his lectures would be prerecorded and you had access to them online. The exams werent too bad because he would give study guides. Most of the time if you could do the study guide, you could do the exam. TA's were very helpful.

Comment:

I had Dr. Sincich as a PhD student. His class is not easy, and I was certainly not his star pupil. That said, Dr. Sincich was my favorite professor at USF. He is beyond knowledgeable about statistics, and a genuine human being who truly wants his students to learn. I am now a professor myself and hope I am even half the teacher he was for me.

the 3 exams are a lot like the reviws, but the final is harder but not that hard, basically study the reviews for it and study all the past exams. register for a section that is later than 9:30 mondays so you can watch lectures at home and just go to lectures last 15 mins to get hw answers, go to TA's they help a lot.

You are taught through video lectures with TAs on standby. Go to every class and the TAs will give you the homework and go over quizzes as well as exams. You only see the Professor on test days but he is very nice and will help you if need be. Do not just study sample exams--the questions are usually the inverse.

The tests were straightforward. You do have to get the wording just right. The lectures give good and useful information for the tests. Get a study group together and do the reviews, practice practice practice.

Exams are no where near to what the reviews cover. Exam question wording is very skewed from the wording asked in the homework assignments and in class lectures. Never Again

Sincich is not a professor for you if you need attention in this subject as his lectures are all video recordings. Sounds great right? don't have to go to class.. no, bad idea! I went every time just for the TA's and it still didn't help. I hope you're good with memorizing because that's all this class is. Take all the little points you can get!

Excellent professor. Keep up on the lectures, then rewatch them at 1.5x speed 2 review. If you get behind you can pass the exam with just the review lecture, which covers everything on the exam. Provides 2 practice exams for each one that are just like the exams themselves. I didn't even take stats 1 & got a B+. Great guy who cares about the class.

I was dreading this class after stat 1, but I actually did great! He explains everything very thoroughly. At the beginning of every class he goes over the last lectures material and you can rewatch all lectures on canvas. He gives 2 practice tests for every exam and he goes over 1 in class. He even gives options for some extra credit.

This teacher is so great that this is the first review I've written in four years of schooling. He's very clear on what he expects, he goes over the last lecture every class to bring you back to speed, he replies to emails right away, and most of his classes you can either watch the lecture online or show up. He explains everything very well.

I was in a video lecture section, but I went to the live class anyways and I thought the class was well taught, I understood the material well and after studying my notes, was well prepared for the exams. I also appreciate the videos in case my notes were lacking I could go back and rewatch the lecture. would absolutely take again. (study though)

Took the video lecture class, TAs will review quizzes, hw, and exams after the lecture so make sure you take advantage of that, his exams are tough but an A is doable if you understand and remember wording of concepts, gives one exam with huge bonus point potential, final exam is hard, so study hard from the beginning to balance it out.

Comment:

Took business stats because for me it is a graduation requirement. Dr Sincich provides downloadable videos of every lecture along with class notes. The TAs are available almost all day every day & they respond to emailed questions quickly. There is some opportunity for extra credit. Dr Sincich also does a great job providing reviews for each test.
