Pretty good prof overall and I was able to understand most of the material clearly. My grades are usually within the B range and didn't find his class to be any different. His jokes in class made the dry material a bit better.

HORRIBLE> this man is a wack job. i mean his lectures were funny and all but he talked about food for almost half a class. honestly when ur paying this much for school no one wants to hear that. his exams and midterms are out there. i had an alright mark in the class but it was pure luck. they are pretty messed up... be prepared to guess

His exam questions come from left field and seem to have no relevance at all unless you studied the text for 20+ hours before the final. Definitly cannot slack in his class! The text is a lot more helpful then he is, but his story telling is amusing. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he not a great prof.

WORST TEACHER EVER! No, he doesnt even deserve the tittle teacher, because he doesnt teach anything. Everything I learned from that class I had to teach myself, because this guy just rambles on about nothing. The exams are ridiculous. You can study your a** off and still not do very well. The university and students deserve a much better professor!

Herrman is awsome, i go to the lectures juut to hear his stories. If ur looking to learn and prepare for the examn then read the text and a few key points he makes in lectures, other than that just laugh and take that cucumber out of your ass if you think he is a bad prof. He knows his stuff and keeps everybodies attention.

Funny guy, likes to go on weird little rants (perhaps minored in history of philosophy?) and has a really crude sense of humour ("I want to know how you do it" "I like little boys" etc..) which can make class interesting. Agreeing with most people tho, hard to tell what is relevant. Easy to daze off in lectures. Sometimes alieninates students.

He's the worst prof I've had so far. He's ****, offensive, can't spell, doesn't know basic grammatical rules. He makes fun of mentally handicapped people. He attacks people who put up their hands in class. He forces everyone to but some stupid book he edited so he gets royalties. Absolutely horrible.

the exams are super hard... and the questions come from left field, so you are expected to know WAY more than the textbook. the lectures are useless. he goes off on random tangents that really don't apply, and because we only have class twice a week he rushed through slides. so its a lot of independent learning, and very tough exams. not much fun.

herrmann is sometimes interesting with his cynical, crude and twisted humour. he likes to go off on tangents and tell stories, which is cool except for the fact that it becomes hard to distinguish between the stories and what is really important. you can miss important things when you're off in dream land, tuning out his dreary outlook of the world

Rambles, goes off-topic too much without being interesting, and can be very boring. Sometimes he'll suddenly say something important and you miss it. He's very funny sometimes, in a twisted, odd sort of way. A lot of people leave his lectures in the middle, or just plain don't show up. Certainly not the worst prof, but don't count on him.

A brutally honest, cynical, and self-interested professor. This is good or bad depending on your own sense of humour. He is entertaining, but unclear enough to get a full education on the basics of psyc. Read the textbook, consult the TA's, and then rely on Herrmann for a laugh at the lectures.
