Great guy! Little bit hard to understand even if you know what he is saying, but will help you with anything you need. I took all of his courses and did my honours thesis with him. I did very well in his classes and found that he let me do my own thing in my research with has helped me prepare for my master's research!

Incredibly holistic - will bring history and sociology into biology and tie it all together in a meaningful way. Far too often science alienates itself from the rest of life. A class with Thomas Bouman is like having a film of Vaseline removed from your eyes - things become clearer. Highly recommended. Especially for ecology classes.
