Really bad lectures, he doesnt make you stay the whole time but when you do its a drag and more of a history lesson. NEVER answers emails and when he does its just rude. Very questionable if he even likes the students and if he wants to be there or not. I took this class as a core requirement. If you dont have to take this class do not.

Hes a libertarian and its definitely evident in his lectures but it isnt really a problem. He can be a very easy A with minimal attendance because your whole grade is just take-home quizzes with a take-home final paper- just make sure not to skip when he hands out/collects the quizzes. No homework, no in-class quizzes/tests/final.

Thomas DiLorenzo is irrelevant as a teacher. His lectures are long and insanely boring, and then gives TrueFalse tests with 30-35 questions. There is 0 class participation which makes it harder to stay awake. However, his homeworks are extra credit, the final is take-home essays straight from the textbook, and he lets you drop a test grade.

pretty poor economics teacher. He is a funny guy, but I did not learn a single thing about economics in his class.4- 30TF tests which are really hard, ends class early and every homework is extra-credit. Take home final which helps. includes videos to keep you from falling asleep, which happens almost every class. really hard to pay attention

Can be a bit jumpy at times but a good professor. Very interesting and extremely intelligent. Austrian economists can be a rare bread in academia so learn everything you can! He's a fellow at the Mises Institute and has a lot of YouTube videos. When he puts out a new one I still check them out. Watch them to study for his tests.

All students should be required to take his capitalism class. It is so different from the typical university leftist perspective. The man is nice & humble but brilliant in his field. I actually looked forward to his class and always walked out having learned something valuable. Show up, take notes, and you'll do well on his tests and paper. Do it!!

3 tests which were really hard. If you ask him to, he will drop the lowest. Take home final and TONS of extra credit opportunities! I'm glad I had him but this semester was so stressful worrying about my grade for this class because of the tests. Otherwise its really easy, no homework. Boring lectures but he always let us out after 30-45.

Really easy class, 3 tests, final was take home. Go to him for help with your grade and he'll give it to you. Classes were boring but not mandatory. He only tests stuff given in class though. Clearly Libertarian- just tell him what he wants to hear on tests and you'll do well. Don't bother debating- he's smarter than you.

Brilliant guy, but only an average teacher. Slow grader. His anarcho-capitalist ideas are a bit to stomach for any but the most devoted Libertarians. And his defense of the Confederacy is embarrassing and intellectually irresponsible.

Easy Class, but also informative Econ class. From what I understand he gives about 3 tests. 2 are usually essay tests...you want these, aslong as you regurgitate the readings and what he says you get an easy A. The multiple choice tests are alittle together but you should be alright. Overall a good class to take youll learn alot

Hands down one of the best professors at Loyola. You will learn so much in DiLo's class, and exams are cake as long as you do the reading. You may not always agree with him, but DiLo gets you to think about things differently.

I had professor DiLorenzo for Intermediate Micro. DiLorenzo is a genius and explains topics throughly. However, he can get boring and its hard to pay attention in his class. The class was pretty hard, but those who did the reading did well.

knows alot about econ but not the best teacher. doesn't explain much in class, i tended to have alot of sigle unexplained words in my notes. tests can be hard but if its a take-home essay he grades those really easy. he can be funny on occasion but class is mostly booring. do the readings, he can't teach.

This is my second class with Dilorenzo. Frankly, I think he's one of the easiest teachers I've ever had. Tests are so easy, and so are papers, you just have to study a little tiny bit. Very easy A is you know what you're doing...and if you don't you should at least get a B.

ALL econ majors need to take DiLorenzo! Can see how he's not good for intro, but he's great for everything else, take his 200 levels. Really smart. He won't take attendance, normally, but you'll enjoy his lectures and wild tangents about liberals in the humanities building. Crazy stories, fun to listen; don't get him started on Hillary Clinton...
