This guy needs to retire. Hes only kept around because he has tenor. Doesnt give a sh#t about students other classes gives two projects one is the final, which you will never see, your grade on. He is always right and you are always wrong. Only teaches his class at 8 am because he thinks it gets you ready for the real world.

I took Dr. Kopp for Finc420 and I liked him for that class. I am not sure how he is in the other courses he teaches. He is willing to help as long you as you ask him for help and you have to go to his office hours if you want a good grade. Not the clearest in class but very patient and helpful in his office hours.

Kopp gets a bad rep by students that don't want to put the effort in to learn the material thats never been presented to them before. His first test is hard as you dont know what to expect. All other projects are handed out with the grading sheet, read it, understand it, and go see him for help. Hes better at teaching 1on1. Enjoyed the challenge.

This man is by far the worst professor I have had at Siena College. Be prepared not to get an A in this course, as he makes this class a lot more difficult than it should be, especially since he is horrible at explaining problems. Every finance major is FORCED to take him. If this course is not a requirement then RUN AWAY and dont take this course!

I graduated in 2000 and of all classes his, and Prof. Proctor's were the ones that prepared me for the workforce. He's one of the prof. that really challenges you and holds you to high expectations. He helps you by demanding your best and there should be more like him.

If you are not FLUENT in the required software required for the course you will be in serious trouble. I wish he spent less time talking on random stuff and more time showing students how to do stuff, expecially how to use Crystal Ball, PHStat, etc. Also, His lectures are so random and off topic. Had him for both intro and international. Very hard but has patterns you can pick up. Never answers questions directly. very hard tests. Avoid if you can, but if you must, just be prepared to work. I did learn a few things though.
