You thought this was a GenEd class? Nope. Prepare to become a historian, because by the time you're done with all the reading and studying for tests that's what he expects from you on your exams. A TON OF READING AND STUDYING. All written and assignments. If you want to enjoy learning take a different class.

Professor kuehn is very nice and smart. He is obviously very knowledgable about what he is teaching. The problem is he doesn't know how to transfer knowledge into a class setting. He talks all through class with a monotone voice and assigns long papers that have nothing to do with lecture. I did well in the class but I wouldn't recommend him.

I had professor Kuehn for his Italian Renaissance class. His jokes and cynicism kept the class interesting and helped to hold my attention for the majority of class time. Only grades came from 5-6 page papers, which I didn't mind.

He was AWFUL! So incredibly boring. He thinks he is funny, but he's not at all. I was really excited about this class, but he's totally killed the joy for me and my class. He's a terrible professor. His lectures are god awful boring, and his discussion days are either him talking OR him asking us paradoxical questions that no one wants to answer.

kuehn is great! i had him for historiography and the material was sometimes difficult and boring. kuehn managed to turn what could be a boring class into something extremely interesting. extensive reading required. grade based on 10 p paper on ancient historian, 5 p book review, 20 p paper on modern historian and class participation. he will help u

Yes, the key word is Boring. Also, you have to read some things to write papers. But I would not hesitate to take him again if I had to. Just show up and you'll be fine. He does take attendance.At least there are no ****ing group projects. Go and learn a little, read a lot, memorize for essay tests.
