Thomas Lax. I can't believe this guy still has a job. He was the worst studio instructor in '96 when I had him and no doubt he is still the worst. We didn't even have a final crit. The guy would just leave and it was a toss up if he would come back or not. Avoid this guy as if your life depended on it.

A very likable old man, but not as strong in terms of teaching. He knows his stuff, but isn't around often enough to be a big help. The lack of attendance was annoying - this was the only class where I didn't learn everyone's name.

This was the most ridiculous class I have ever attended. Actually, come to think of it I don't think it is a class. I'm pretty sure classes are actually supposed to have instructors. Something I guarantee T. Lax was not.

The worst i've ever had. He's a nightmare of epic proportions, he's lazy and so obviously doesn't care it's embarrassing. Definitely an argument against tenure. Don't waste your time.

I found Thomas to be a fantastic man. He let students work on their own and didn't try to influence them, although he did offer helpful advice. He is an adorable old Czech with fabulous stories and mannerisms. It was definately a relaxed class.
