Comment:

Maronick is a great guy. Actually cares about his students and makes them work work hard because he sees everyone's true potential. This class is a lot of reading and discussions. He is very knowledgeable and influential. He makes himself available to help 24/7. Tough class but worth the time put into it. Take him if you can!

Comment:

Conceptually difficult course, taught by a professor who has 5 degrees including 2 Doctorates. Turn in the 5 cases on his syllabus because they are wroth 2% each, but they aren't graded. Don't expect extra credit ever, but he does take attendance into consideration. Oh and start the final project early! It's 20 pages long and he wants true sources!

Ok, you know how you promised your Grandma you'd work hard at school? Here's your one chance. Maronick isn't easy but don't let that deter you from taking this class. He will change the way you think, seriously. He's the longest tenured professor for a reason. He cares about you and feels like a tough loving Grandpa. Nothing but love for Maronick.

Maronick actually cares about you. He's available by phone pretty much all the time. For me, i hate marketing, so the class was a drag. Lectures were long. Group project sucked. Tests are fairly hard but reading the book ensures a "B" at minimum. I went the extra mile to get an A, which is very do-able. Maronick is top notch, but marketing sucks.

One of the best professors in the CBE! He actually works in the marketing research field, so he is extremely knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. 3 tests and 1 group project. Great guy, can't wait to take him for 485!

hard class, but dr. maronick is the most helpful professor I had throughout all of college. exams are quite demanding and require a lot of preparation. Project wasn't too bad, just took a lot of time. I took him for mktg 441 as well, which was also enjoyable. Take Dr. Maronick if you can!

Wonderful. Class is all discussion based on cases. Midterm, final and project are also cases but you work with groups. Tests you get case before and can prepare with classmates and bring notes. Project is again case w paper on analysis. Participate- it gets you brownie points & really helps understand for tests n project. Great guy!

Very good teacher. Got a B, never read the textbook. Just took notes on slides, print the slides out and you do actually have to pay attention. Tests are multiple choice w/ 3 written responses that are based exactly on the real-life stories he tells in class and he really emphasizes them. Pay attention in class and you'll be fine. Also took for 485

Maronick is very cool and laid back. Tells lots stories from his past experiences in the field of mktg research which are both relevant and interesting. Exams are mad tough but you should expect that in a 400 level course. Study the slides, your notes and pay attention to what he emphasizes in class, you'll do fine. Definitely recommend him.

Dr. Maronick is one of the best professors at Towson. Yes, like others have said, his exams are very hard. However, if you study his powerpoints, you'll do fine. He flys thru slides and always lets class out early! Very relaxed and chill guy. Is extremely willing to help if you go to him. I just enrolled in another class of his. He's awesome!

tests are brutal. He tries to trick you and stares at the girls all class. don't ask for help because his breath could take down a grizzley bear. we also think he is a bigtime gambler and talks about slots all class. did i learn anything? NO. wear a flak jacket to avoid the knife in the back. lo-lo-loser. LOL

Maronick is the best professor ever! Take his market research and forecasting class. He makes this stuff interesting and he is funny. Exams are pretty hard but if you study the powerpoints, you'll be fine. Great guy. Always ends class early! (Especially when the Ravens are playing!)

You have to read the material before class. He will FLY through slides and only touch on a few concepts. His tests are terrible. Simply listening to his lectures will fail you, you have to read the chapters on your own. The survey project takes so much time and energy, make sure you pick a good team. Nice guy but an unclear teacher.

This was probably the hardest class and exams that I have taken at Towson but its the material that is difficult not the teacher. I would say take him but make sure you go to class! I would reccommend printing out the pp slides from the text and bringing them to class so you can not which ones he discussed because they WILL be on the exams.

I'm an alum from 2003, and I want to recommend Prof. Maronick to everyone at Towsons business school. His case studies method in Marketing Strategy is fun and challanging. He's a great teacher, realist, and cares about his students. The best Towson has to offer bar none.

He's quite a character, rather funny at times, and over all very laid back. Problem is that if you are a B student, you will get a C in this class. His final counts more than the midterm & projects, so don’t do bad on it or your doomed...
