He's an easy professor to get along with. You can get the textbook online for free, quizzes at the end of the chapters are basically the same as the weekly quizzes he gives. No exams, (not even a final) just a huge research project that is not difficult. A bit vague with explanations on assignments, but overall a good professor. I'd take him again.

THE BEST TEACHER EVER!He is honestly so nice! and you are able to learn a lot in his class! I took his intro sociology course through TLC and it was the best TLC class to take! Not hard at all for quizzes all he uses are the questions on the back of each chapter and THE ANSWERS R BACK THERE TOO SO YEA ITS EASY

If you aren't big into class discussions, this isn't the class for you. He does grade on your participation in discussions. Over it's a fairly easy class. There's a lot of reading but his quizzes are easy if you do the reading. He's a pretty nice guy and he is passionate about his subjects.

Awesome personality, really got along with students. He made the material easy to understand and caused my interest in sociology to grow. No exams, just weekly quizzes and a few projectspapers due. Do the work and you will pass.

If you work hard in his class, you will succeed. He's a very laid back teacher, easy grader and always makes sure you know what is going on. He is very passionate about his work, and this makes the go by so much easier. I loved his teaching style. Not so many notes, but the class is book heavy. I would recommend his classes to anyone.

Best teacher I've ever had. He's nice, funny, VERY insightful and brilliant. He will answer any question you have and will happy to debate. Assignments are fun and interesting, make sure you read (it helps)and tests are pretty easy. This class changed my perception on everything and I almost changed my major to this.Definitely recommend this class.

Dr. Sanchez is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. His tests are not hard if you do the required readings, attend class and do the review sheet. Getting an A is very manageable if you put forth the effort. I highly recommend Dr. Sanchez to anyone interested in taking a sociology course.

I agree that this class is not "your typical intro level class". Mr Sanchez expects a lot from his students. Read the sections before hand and be prepared to discuss. He has great passion for what he's teaching and expects you to participate. I think that Mr. Sanchez was an excellent teacher!

Tom is the most amazing professor at UNO. If debating on a class with him, I STRONGLY recommend. He is extremely knowledgable, brilliant, and honest. He expects alot from his students, but the knowledge gained is priceless. If looking for an easy class, not with him. If looking for a meaningful education, he is the man. He is the model professor.

I really liked Tom as a professor. I took two of his classes and would definately take another with him. He is extremely knowledgable about the material and made classes very interesting. I did think that CLS 1110 was a little difficult for an entry course, though.
