I learned literally nothing about heat transfer, but nice enough guy. All tests were take home and no final. Easiest A I've gotten in college.

Stanford's the realest in the department. He puts the knowledge there for you and lets you take it or leave it, no dumb mind games or snarkiness included. Most of the class is just doing homework. Get the paperback textbook, its actually really useful. He knows his material in and out, answers any question.

A very easy A. He treated this course (heat transfer) like an online course. You pretty much taught yourself the course with the material he provided and the homework he gave. He gave a few take home tests as well and the in class ones were just like the homework.

He gives out solutions to most of the homeworks and the tests are almost identical to the omeworks. But beware of his grading - he will frequently take off points when nothing is wrong. His grading scale is a forced bell curve, so you can do well but still not get the grade you deserve. Lectures are boring and worthless.

Grades on the forced bell curve. Sometimes this means that you can make 100% on a test and still not have an A. His lectures are very boring, as he copies his handwritten notes and then reads them out during class. I guess the only reason to attend is to be able to understand his writing.. and to pick up homework solutions, which help on tests

The monopoly guy has a strange grading policy. If you totally suck at thermo, and the rest of the class does too, you'll be OK. If the rest of the class doesn't, you won't. Guaranteed to lower your GPA.

As one student told him..."your grading policy is junk". Any teacher who writes a bunch of derivations then puts them up and reads straight from them, word for word, is not helping the learning process in my opinion.
