i agree with what everyone else is saying here ...i would learn much more with my nose in my book for 3 hours than i do sitting there listening to him talk about nonsense. i feel like he's trying to teach us geography. worst class i've ever taken, and i was excited about it.

This is the worst teacher I ever had. Told interesting stories, but they had nothing to do with astronomy. Tests had material that was not covered in lectures or in the book. Very strict on attendance, and if it weren't for that I would've skipped most of the time because his lectures were useless. Must study the book a lot to pass.

On line course is strictly by the book. Instructor does not answer any questions. It is entirely up to your interpretation. Four tests. Announcements on blackboard are outdated with information from prior classes. Only good thing I can say about the class is it was on line.

He seems like he means well, but his lectures have nothing to do with the test, the tests don't have much do to with the textbook, and he spends way too much time talking about things that had nothing to do with the class. He went on and on about how evolution was a fact, and I'm not judging his opinions, but I paid for astronomy, not anthropology.

Took online- gives you the syllabus on what days the tests are on, no study guides. Its basically you and the book so if you are an independent studier you'll do fine, otherwise I recommend not taking this course.

He's not the best professor I've ever had but if you read the chapters then you do fine on the tests. He offers extra credit and will bump your grade at the end of the year if you have good attendance and you're shy a few points of a grade. I got an A.....

Worst teacher ever! Four tests 50 points each. Tests have nothing to do with the lecture or the book. Lectures have nothing to do with the class and makes you watch boring movies ... Class is absurdly boring and pointless. Bad for Gpa. I studied for hours and barley pulled a C :-(

I took this class online and it is not worth it. Not only is the teacher not helpful there aren't any assingments or work to show you what you need to know. Very hard tests, no help from the teacher. You will need about 20hours a week to study to get a good grade in this class. Dont take if you want to keep your GPA high!

It bothers me that he is still teaching. Someone ought to clue the school in that they're paying him to tell stories that have NOTHING to do with the course. It is pointless to take this class. I would say that you could just stay home and read the book, but attendance is mandatory. Avoid him. Maybe if people stop taking him, he will stop teaching?

I don't recommend this class unless you are very independent with your studies. Attendance is mandatory and his lectures are not relevant to his tests let alone the subject. His class is really only good to get work done for other classes. If you can read and retain on your own you can pass the class with a decent grade.

Well i took the online class and i got an F so long 2 my G.P.A. For this class it is no home work it is only 4 test each 50 pts. and the class is worth 200 pts. and that is it 4 the test you have no time 2 be done w/them so dont take him you will get and F he does not care! ! ! ! The best thing Tsung had ever done for students is to retire. This guy cares only about dropping as many students as he can, giving the same scan tron tests over and over, lecturing on unrelated issues, providing no focus on testable material. TAKE JAMES DAVIS-He's helpful and makes class fun

This is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He is really hard to understand and the tests are based on material that isnt in his lectures or in the book. More times then not, he is talking about his personal life, trips, ect, then the actual subject. Take this class only as CR/NC, and shoot for 90 points. There are 4 tests!

Tsung was very hard to understand. His lectures had nothing to do with the book or test. It was very frustrating to go to class and learn virtually nothing but random stories about his traveling and about his theories on evolution. Which he will tell EVERY class. I failed all the tests, learned nothing but am still going to pass the class. pointles

You should avoid his class at all costs. He is a very nice man, but a terrible professor. Only grades based on tests, and his tests have NOTHING to do with the lectures, yet he demands that you miss no more than 2 classes (very strict on this). I got a C (after failing every test). Was a waste of time.

I don't know how ANYBODY could fail his tests and pass his class. He doesn't care about students, except for how many his lazy bootie can drop in order to make his job easier. Grossmont has had many complaints about him because of his methods. Don't take him, unless no act of nature would give you 3 absences before the "drop date"
