Very easy prof, also very lenient on the marking. Quizzes and midterm was pretty easy as long as you attend all his lectures and study, and make sure to do the practice sentences. He also scales quizzes and exams.

A very kind prof who shows a surprisingly extensive knowledge of chinese history and uses it to supplement the class material. He teaches entirely according to the textbook, making class easy to prepare for & exams generally pretty predictable. His pace is slow but thorough. He's not sticky on attendance either! I would take another class with him.

I've had him for two years now, and I absolutely enjoyed being in his class. Yes, his lectures could be a little on the dull side since you do go exactly by what's in the book in a pattern that will last the entire semester, but this also makes it so that the class is very predictable (and thus easy to prepare for). Very kind.

Li Tianming is an awesome teacher! I came into class knowing NO chinese whatsoever, and he assured me that I could do it. He was extremely helpful in office hours and was always very supportive and encouraging. Very nice prof.
