Tim keeps the material interesting with demos and a dose of humor. He really hopes all his students do well and enables them to do so. Textbook is just used for homework questions, not much for studying so if you can get around buying it you should. A good chunk of the material was covered in Grade 12 physics but things ramp up in difficulty at end

Great prof! Very funny this semester. Tim's British wit kept us amused throughout the semester. But seriously, a lot packed into this course. Be mathematically strong and get help quickly. The homework is long. No text. Cover the midterm package, but realize that Tim will test your command of the concepts in the final. 'Ergo', it will be harder.

Tim's notes are more than adequate to work on assignments. The text got me no further. The course is a lot harder than Phys 111 as is to be expected. More concepts and, of course, the weekly lab which is long. But if you have taken Tim before you know that there are many avenues to get help. The best and incidentally the only prof for Phys 221.

Tim's lectures are always interesting with a pace tailored toward 1st year students. If you require a good grounding that won't make you want to give up at the first hurdle, take Tim. Study Hard. Don't be fooled by the quizzes and midterm. His final will test your knowledge of Phys 112's concepts.

Tim does a fantastic job in preparing, inspiring and encouraging students. His sense of humour made lectures interesting and enjoyable to listen to. I would highly recommend Professor Cooper for Physics 112 as it is a very difficult first year course.

Tim Cooper has a clear passion for physics and the students that walk through the doors at UFV. He has a very sarcastic and British sense of humour which made difficult lectures very enjoyable! I would highly recommend him for Physics 112 as it one of the most difficult first year courses.

Tim is wonderful. He runs his classes in a very organized manner--assignments are based on the notes (NO textbook needed), tests are based on assignments. He provides practice tests with solutions--if you do the homework and study, you'll be absolutely fine, and will learn a lot. Explains material well, very available to help. Super nice and funny.

Tim is a great prof IMO. He is a clear, logical thinker who expects students to own the material, even to the point of throwing trick questions and traps into his lectures to keep everybody on the ball. A fair amount of homework. Extremely well organized. Virtually impossible to manipulate; very fair. In-class quizzes. Participate

Tim is great. Always willing to help. The class was a whirlwind of new concepts though, a little bit hard to follow at times-and he admits to the fast pace of the course. Weekly'ish' assignments, didn't use the textbook at all.

Tim is the super professor. He seems to always be at school, and if he's not you can call him at home. He puts his home number on the outline. His passion for physics bleeds through, and he manages to get students interested. I think most of the class took him far too seriously... he's quite the comedian, but subtle sometimes. Tim rocks!
