Worth another shot if you haven't taken him for an upper-level class where he's more in his element. Not such a bad guy once you get to know him.

Comment:
Eng. majors ought to give Tim Jones another chance. He can be dry in the big intro classes (he's a little shy) but is fairly fun in smaller classes where he can get more in depth (he's simply too smart to teach lower-level things). Take a medieval class or Hist. of the Eng. Lang. and you'll understand some of his Old/Middle Eng jokes too

He is very unclear about what he is talking about and seems to ramble in order to take up the entire class!

I had him for ENGL 200, History of the English Language, and Robin Hood and King Arthur (seminar in early English lit). I was an English major and I was bored in ENGL 200 like many of the people who have rated him here, but the other two classes were great. English majors--give him another chance if you only had him for lower-level classes before.

His class was a little boring, but he is a nice guy. And if you give a little effort, a good grade is not hard in his class.

We read 8 books in a semester...8!!! That's not counting the supplementary readings, etc. I'm a journalism major, and this class had the two hardest tests i've ever taken...it's more material than you can retain w/o an entire week's studying...DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!!!!!!!!!!!
