Awesome teacher! Very knowledgable. Keep up with readings (5-6 books). Discussions on Fridays but gives out dittos a week before. One paper about 11 pages but dont procrastinate. Nice guy. Will help you if you need it. Recommend a study group to help w/ exams. Map quiz easy if you study for it

I really got involved with history after taking a class with professor hanson!!!! i suggest that is you do not like history and have to take a history class or 2 take them with him.... history of IRELAND was the best!!!

Excellent teacher. Expect to work your butt off though. A's and B's don't come easy. Can always find him to talk if you need to, about class or personal life. Even gives you his home phone for help with exams, just don't call too late.
