Take Wood after an exhausting 4 years of architecture studio. Do not take him before that if youre looking for a challenging design oriented studio. He is caring and thoughtful, gives good advice. People take him for granted, as an older professor, but he honestly gives great suggestions if you actually try. He likes using projector so you save $$$

Comment:

Intelligent, secretive in grading, helpful,understands architecture and how to teach it. Precomp is not easy but things are manageable with a teacher who is interested in helping his students achieve versus those who are adamant on failing students. Independent from department beliefs that it is necessary to fail a majority of students.

this is the worst teacher ever, he comes in late all the time, and leaves early. it doesn't matter the work you do he will only do desk crits to those students he likes, which are usually 1 or 2 students. I know it may sound great that studio may be over early, but the truth is, he will screw you at the end. he fail 4 students a maximun grade B.

very clear cut. put cad drawings on papar THAT MAKE SENCE and you'll do great. treats all classes like comp studio. i did NO new work after the halfpoint of the semester because my drawing allready made sence upto that point. still got a nice grade.. B or A, i can't remember cause my brain is fried from the summer.
