This is probably the hardest class I've ever taken in my life and that says a lot because I am a computer science major, however, I would take this class with Sukany over and over again. He is the best professor at SBU, he is honest, challenging and I've learned more in his class than I have in any other class at SBU.

Class is pretty hard especially if youre not a good writer. But the style of writing is probably pretty new to most. However he is an excellent teacher and as long as you talk to him and ask questions he will make sure you learn the material. Worry more about learning what hes saying than what grade you get. The grade will take care of itself.

Take an Esl class with him. The class is generally small and you will learn so much. He knows what he is talking about when it comes to TESL.

Structure of Eng. Lang. was probably my most interesting/difficult/useful class at SBU. Sukany made us all feel like scholarly equals, striving for a deeper understanding of our language, but sharing contempt for "Uncle Morey", the man who wrote our text.

Sukany was very engaging and fun, but not easy by any means. I had to work for my A in there and I learned a lot. He taught me how to write, and not just for his class, but for my career...college, and beyond.

Mr Sukany is by far the best English teacher I have ever had. He is inspirational, and although his expectations are high, his students continually rise to these goals because of his willingness to help.
