Engaging lectures, sadly i only attended 3 of them because 8:30 is too early. Lies about test content, explicitly told us binomial dist. was not going to be on the midterm, then the first question was a binomial problem.

Comment:

He says he doesn't bell curve because it gives students false hope in passing the course. Looking back at the tests and quizzes they are all doable just that as a student you need to spend your own time crunching questions . DO NOT MEMORIZE MATH UNDERSTAND IT :)

Comment:

Pros- Explains material clearly and thoroughly, brings life to a somewhat hard and dull course, easy to talk to. Cons- very rigid and inflexible, hard tests , tough grader. Although Augustine is great with explaining he is very rigid, he expects you to practice every question in textbook and he doesnt bell curve.

Amazing professor with great talented skills in lecturing. Will continue to take his course in 3210 next semester. Highly recommend but you should attend all his lectures since his notes are valuable but not posted on the website.

Augustine Wong is a great professor! He is funny and easy going. The assignments are straight forward and the midterm and exam are not bad. It's important to attend class since he writes everything on the board and doesn't post his notes online.

One of the best and possibly the BEST Econ Prof I've had at York so far. However, if you don't pay attention in class you will be COMPLETELY lost. His lectures require your undivided attention, and taking notes is highly advised as without your notes you will be left utterly confused when you look at his slides. Tests are a little difficult.

Professor Wong is one of the best professors I've ever had at York. He's funny, really patient and so approachable. He could be clearer with his lectures, especially because he doesn't label anything (so you don't know what formulas are used for), but if you read the textbook in addition to lectures, he's really great! He's a fair prof

I always hated the idea of statistics and data management, so much that I avoided taking those classes in high school. Professor A. Wong opened my eyes and realized that it's the complete opposite. His lectures are clear, informative, and explains infinitely better than the textbook. Just practice problems and show up. Best stats prof ever.

Extremely difficult course, I can't say if he made the course harder but I can say that the tests were brutal. The assignments are a piece of cake, you can find the answers mostly online. But unless you have a strong statistics background, I would advise against taking this course.

Augustine Wong is a good lecturer, he genuinely does make the course interesting. His tests on the other hand are a different story. Sometimes will include material not covered or current material with an extreme twist. Good at lecturing, BAD at the writing fair examinations.

One of the best professors at York. He is very very clear, and does not put up boring slides. Hand writes everything, answers every question, tests are fairly marked (but dont hope you can get that extra mark cuz he wont give it to you)

Prof. Wong is an outstanding professor who really knows his material. He challenges the students to keep up, but will always answer questions. One of the best math profs I've ever had. His tests will include both easy questions straight from the course, as well as a question or two that tests conceptual understanding of the material.

Very clear but the assignments don't follow the book and the tests don't follow the assignments. He expects you're all smart guys and he doesn't care if you're failing. However, he's one of the best profs in terms of clarity. He sounds mean but he's nice, not easy to approach thou'.
