Don't take unless you like discussion boards and posting an astronomical amount of times(which probably still wouldn't be enough posts to get full credit for the week). Grading on discussion board is ridiculous. Tests aren't bad. I would not recommend this class with Alexander, take it will anyone else but him.

This class is a self learn class. If your not a self learner, don't take this professor. Lots of time wasted on doing discussion boards and lectures are very vague. Tricky test questions but tests aren't difficult. Take this class before FIN 4550.

Professor Alexander is a good professor. He isn't my favorite and his class isn't that exciting to go to. The grade is based on only 3 things. 2 tests and a huge project. Make sure to start your project early and spend a lot of time on it. Overall he is a good guy but he can be pretty tough.

He is very experienced with everything he teaches and relates to real-world scenarios, rather than text book scenarios. Total grade is mostly based on 2 tests and a project, not much homework. Tests are usually online. Get a better grade when you speak up and join in with discussions.

Great professor, really knows his stuff. Very helpful, but at the same time wants you to figure things out on your own. Sometimes he is one-sided and does think he is above the rest but in a way he is. Don't be late or miss one of his classes. Easy class, all you do is write one page papers on different jobs dealing with finance.
