Tom is a great guy and a great prof. His lectures are interesting as he gives a real life example for almost everything learned in the course and hints what will be tested on the midterms. Tom is also a very easy grader for the assignments and reasonable with midterms. I would love to have Tom again.

Clift definitely knows his stuff! The tests were a little hard but its easy to make up for it on the assignments which were simple and were graded much easier.

Thoroughly enjoyed Tom's class. His lectures were soo interesting and really got you thinking. His expectations were very reasonable, and he made them clear. SUPER EASY GRADER for the 1 midterm/final. If you read the book, and go to class to know the topics that he stresses you will do fine. He gives obvious hints about important topics.

Great Prof. Tests are pretty straight forward, if you go to class you will have a general idea what is going to be on them before writing them. Grades papers fairly, as long as you spent the time to properly edit, and reference the text you will get a good mark.

This prof is super passionate so if you go to class, stay off your phone and participate you'll do fine. If i didn't already have a career he might have influenced me to be a marketer. Take down notes and see what content he speaks about most, they're your test questions. It's an easy A if you respect the class.

Tom Clift is good in explaining the material. He is very clear and organized in his lectures. However, he is a very THOUGH grader. He doesnt say the format or the length of the assignments. There were two assignments and two tests. NO Final exam. Exams were all long answers and they are all from discussions in class. Not a bad prof but tests heavy

Tom makes this course interesting by providing relevant and easily relatable examples, he also marks quite easily so I'd highly recommend taking this class with him if you get the oppourtunity

Found his lectures interesting as he used lots of examples to get points across which made the material more applicable and easy to remember. Assignments and tests were fair. I found reading the book helped a lot. Overall Tom was a great prof for 1210

Tom Clift is a great prof! He is clear in his expectations for the term, and is willing to help and explain when necessary. His lectures are long, but contain useful information, as well as tons of examples. He is insightful, and we'll versed in his field. However don't let this intimidate you, he's kind and happy to help at any time.

He's a decent prof and this isn't an overly difficult course. Assignments and tests were fair and what's expected of students is fairly clear cut. Lectures were long though. Would take a course with him again if option was there.

I learned a lot in the course Business 8106. I don't have a background in marketing, so being in Prof Clift's course decrypted a whole lot of stuff that did not make sense before.

Although it is extremely difficult to figure out what he wants to see in your writing (no rubric or clear grading scheme), he's actually very insightful when it comes to advertising. He uses cases and stories to illustrate points often. People have to realize that marketing is subjective, so grading marketing reports is also subjective.
