It's been years, so I may have the number wrong, but it was a 200-level American Lit. class. Cooley was, well, cool. He dressed like a 40s detective, was enthusiastic, and seemed pretty fair on the grades. I had some real duds at OSU, especially in the English Department, but Cooley wasn't one of them. He did a great job with Poe.

I liked Dr Cooley. I thought he had a real insight for what he was trying to teach and his sense of humor kept the class moving. His assignments could be vague sometimes but he took an interest in what his students had to say.

His class was easy, but as a professor I did not like him. He does not respond back to emails, if you have any sort of excused absences he is not considerate about it, and one of his favorite recommendations is that you drop his class.
