Honestly, his class is difficult for an English 12. He gives a lot of unnecessary work that requires a lot of reading. He repeats the same thing over and over again, not clear enough that it is difficult to understand him. It is very hard to get a good grade from his class even if you try your best. Not the best teacher.

When it comes to his office hours it really sucks. A lot of weekly journals. It was an online class. Gives you extra credit. Allows rewrites for the most lowest journal. No final exam. He is really not clear with what he asks for his assignment. So if you are a great writer take him. Otherwise find someone else. I still got my A though.

Must keep track of what you submit to him bc hes unorganized. Its just discussing 2 poems in class and pick 1 at home to write about for your weekly journal. Theres a lot of extra credit but its time consuming like visit a museum or writing extra journals. Each journal must be a 3 pg essay. Very tough grader on journals only 1 wk to complete.

On the first day of class the work seems hard and very annoying being that there was 4 essays to be written with 4-5 different revisions. AND journal entries and information gathering due every week! Overall, it wasn't that bad after all and I saw my writing skills improve. Plus I got a 100 on his final and an A in the class.

He is a very nice, helpfull, and funny teacher. I enjoyed to be in his class. I learned how to write essay with him. Lavazzi spends a lot of energy on checking every essay and gives many helpfull notes about your mistakes.
