Dr. Marsh is one of the greatest men on campus. Great professor who expects a lot of the students which can be good or bad depending on how independent you are. Tests are intense but doable, jokes are pretty funny, passion for the subject and our understanding sets Dr, Marsh apart form the rest of them.

Marsh is the nicest person on the planet and I legitimately consider him to be a friend of mine. That being said biochem 2 was probably my least favorite class I've taken. Randomly inserted quizzes into the class despite not having them on the syllabus. lab is both writing intensive and writing in the discipline so there is a lot of outside work

As of any chemistry class, biochemistry isn't a walk in the park. With that being said, Dr Marsh tries his best to help you navigate. Lectures tend to be hard to follow and very disorganized especially when you're reviewing for exams. However, he's great with office hours. Posts outlines and practice questions for each exam which I recommend you do

Dr. Marsh is an extremely nice guy who is very intelligent. He's very generous with partial credit, but it's never known what is actually going to be on exams, and most of the time the most important thing will be taught the day before the exam. In lecture, he's extremely scatter-brained. Great guy, it's just hard to know what's important for tests

Honestly the nicest guy so I feel bad giving him a bad review, but he's a terrible professor. Lectures are all over the place. Extremely difficult to take notes. Only perk is that he is much more generous with partial credit, at least compared to ochem. Take Donato if possible and don't turn back!!!

As long as you actually pay attention in class you'll do fine in the class. Teaches at a graduate level, which is difficult for some, but very rewarding for those moving forward in the field. Knows pretty much ANYTHING about biochemistry, so feel free to ask any random questions. Overall awesome teacher and insanely fun guy!

Dr. Marsh is very unorganized and we got way behind in the subject matter due to him spending half the class reteaching something from earlier in the week or answering questions and going off on a tangent. I had to learn everything from the book. His exams were easier than I expected, but his grading is very subjective. He's a nice guy though.

Dr. Marsh is a very nice guy, but when he comes to teaching he's horrible. He's extremely unorganized, all over the place, exams are worded like stories needs to get straight to the point. The only thing that he has going for him is that he is very generous with partial credit, otherwise everyone would fail his course. Take Dr.Denado if you can

Dr. Marsh is a great person but his biochem class is no joke! It was really unorganized, and often we didnt get through all of the material but were still expected to know it for the exams. I received a B+ in the class after a semeter of strugging and I was only taking 12credits! DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR LAB! This course is indeed TOUGH, be prepared!!

Dr. Marsh has clear objectives for the course. He is knows so much about the subject matter and he loves talking about it. He uses the blackboard and powerpoint interchangeably. Tests are tough, but fair. Sometimes you have to infer quite a bit. Keep up with reading, complete and understand his practice sets and BOOK PROBLEMS ARE ON TESTS.

He is ok i guess but was always upset over little things in lab...ie when "things" ran out. He is a hard grader never got higher than 8.5 on labreports and only got 3 reports back from him the whole semester. He wasnt my favorite and I would not take him again.

Dr. Marsh is the man! Biochemistry is a hard class, but he makes it so fun. Exams are hard, but average is always 80+. Review Sessions help so much, and most of exam is covered. Extremely intelligent and funny. A little bit unorganized, but so is everyone. He's my fav! You gotta take hime for Biochem.

Nice guy, tries to be helpful. His class is kinda unorganized but he provides lots and lots of printed-out notes, which helps for tests. He has a hard time directly answering any questions with a simple answer. Gives a lot of partial credit on tests, mostly because we would all fail otherwise. No attendence, but it would be hard to miss a lecture.

has FANTASTIC ADD, but the way he presents the material this is more of a sideshow than a hinderence. very smart, very helpful, very flexible. probably my favorite chem teacher of all time. and hes up against some stiff competition. take him if youve ever fallen asleep in class - you wont in his! tests were hard... but As were common.

Great guy. Up beat and very clear in his discussions. He gives packets and clearly goes through mechanisms. He has review sessions before every test and the tests are not too hard if you listen in class and do the homework and go to the review sessions. I would recommend him to anyone who can take h
