Mr. Norton is a very nice, helpful person. You have to look past his tough exterior. Mr. Norton could be confused with mean, but he is a geniune person who appreciates and values hard work and motivation.

Mr. Norton is an embarrassment to WMU's Chem department! His labs are very unclear, and on two different labs we had to redo the write-ups due to his errors. Luckily, for future students you will only see him for the first 2 labs. Also, the TA's help a lot!

Snapping turtle. Hard shell, and snaps at you every chance he gets. Soft on the inside. Tom has problems with interpersonal relations. He does not have a good sense of how to interact with others. Below standard competence. Has been known to come into lab and mess up peoples' experiments, then yell at them. Not bad, just can't communicate.

I thought rude, aloof, nasty, critical instructors were an urban legend until I met Mr. Norton. He would make Satan run away crying! He knows his material, and may even answer your question, but he will berate and belittle you in the process. He is one of the most unapproachable people I have met.

I went in to ask him question and he didn't even look at me, very RUDE! He has you sit there while he describes the lab and then you don't see him again because he makes the TA's do all the work. Labs are easy though.

Norton is a big pain in the arse. I don't think he passed 2nd grade english because his instructions are so bad. You can't ask a question without making yourself feel like a complete dumb*ss. You have to buy a lab book, but he changes everything anyway. No wonder everybody fails this class.
