Alright! He is very knowledgeable and really loves history. He tells you everything you need to know for the tests. He is just a very tough grader. If you don't have everything that he wants, he takes points off. It is very tough to get an A in his class, but the class was fun.

Read the material, you'll be good. I had to work for an A- which is appropriate since it was a junior level class. Was refreshing to study history without a political slant; he was very balanced. His powerpoints were basically useless though; he worked straight from a word document and it was tough to follow.

If you aren't looking for much from intro history he's your guy. Very enthusiastic but lectures a lot and class isn't very fun, except watching him be his nutty self, in a good way. Tests are easy and quizzes are if you skin the reading.

I would not take this class as he told us a "B" was a great grade. You will not earn an A, no matter how much time&effort you put into class. He lacked ownership as he would not meet with me to discuss a paper grade after only putting "B" at the top. I asked for feedback so I could understand why I received that grade, he said he would&never did.

He is a great professor and I have a lot of respect for him. He really cares about you and your grade. He gives really good lectures and they are extremely interesting. This may be true just for me since I find the topic interesting, but if you really listen the way he talks makes it interesting for all. Three exams and two papers, really not bad.

Fulfilled my history core with Dr. Pegram. I hate history, but I actually really enjoyed his WWII in America class. Pegram makes class and history way more interesting and fun. He only has 3 tests & 2 papers, but he is a tough grader. I would definitely recommend him though!

You have to show up to class and he does give readings but the readings tie into the lecture so it's actually interesting to read. I love Pegram, one of my favorite history professors.

Great guy, super nice, but super tough grader. Tends to forget that this is a class to fulfill the history core requirement and that 98% of the students in there are not history majors, and expects you to tell him something that he doesn't already know on tests and in papers. Seems to be impossible to receive anything over a B+

Do not take him if you want to keep a good GPA. It is not necessary to take notes because he gives them to you and a lot of it is in the textbook or online. He grades papers very harshly and it is impossible to get above a B+ on his tests. He is a great guy and makes the lectures interesting and funny but if you want an A do not take him.

Pegram is a great... He is really into what he does and makes class really interesting. Lectures can go off on a tangant which makes it difficult to take decent notes at times and he does have reading quizes but he tells you what will be on them before the actual quiz

Dr. Pegram is an awesome teacher to start off the day with. Whether it's his aristocratic impersonations, post-nuclear zombie references, or poking fun at the Nazis, Pegram is a joy of a teacher who makes even the most mundane subjects interesting and often humorous. He is a fair grader (expect a B on average). Get used to him shouting "Al'rite!"

pegram is so funny... tries to make the material more interesting by acting goofy during lectures. not an easy class though, two papers and he grades them pretty hard. i wouldn't expect an A unless you work your butt off... i did enjoy the class and learn a lot though

He is so animated and passionate about the subjects that it keeps you interested. Its not always easy to tell when he is on a tangent you're not responisble for and when you should be taking notes. He assigns a lot of reading that you don't have to do. Difficult grader on tests and papers.

Tommy Pegram is the man!!! Lectures are always interesting, even if you have a strong background in the subject area. Hard grader, but wants you to make sure you come out of the class with an appreciation of history to some degree. Would definitely take him again when given the chance.

Dr. Pegram will jump up on desks, pretend to break down the door, fall down and make jokes at the expense of France, all in one class period. Then when he gets serious about the material, you will find few better professors when it comes to clarity.
