Comment:
He is very boring and has an extremely monotone voice. His lectures are not interesting and his powerpoint slides are quite useless. His sense of humour is not something I find overly enjoyable. He does post practice questions on Moodle and most test questions are taken from the practice ones so as long as you study those you will do good!

The only thing I liked about Tom was the practice questions he gave. The tests were about 70-80% from the practice questions so know these and skim through E-reader you will do well on the exams. The classes are not worth attending as his lectures are boring and not engaging.

Tom's expectations for tests were very clear, and he gave practice questions, many of which were on the actual moodle exams. If you show up to class, do your readings, and complete all the practice questions, you'll succeed in this class.

Think a funny, grandfatherly type. He did an amazing job at translating ancient belief systems and emotions into something a modern day student could identify with and understand. His sense of humour may not be for everyone, but it wasn't distracting and the overall course was very easy. Showing up makes it easier to retain the material in memory.

Toms lectures are interesting, however, you don't have to attend them in order to do well. This is a perfect GPA booster and it's really interesting.

Robinson is the man. He's dry, gruff, and sarcastic in the best way possible. His sense of humor tends to fly over the heads of most and is often misinterpretted as arrogance. His classes were easy to follow, interesting, and engaging (if you're willing to be engaged). Absolutely LOVED RELS 1000. It changed my whole academic path!

If you plan on taking R-1000 make sure this teacher is teaching the first half. Tests questions were ALL from the cd. Classes were sometimes boring but I'll take that any day for a A

The assignments for this class were very confusing. Tom is very smart, although he does not seem to make it clear whether or not information he is given is important or not. He seems like a very nice person, but the structure of his course is very confusing and does not appropriately assess my knowledge

This class is super easy. Just read the book. He doesn't put any effort into class. He used the exact same questions word for word that the textbook uses. I felt like if he didn't put effort into the class why should I.

Tom has a quirky sense of humor that makes the class somewhat enjoyable. I found him to be a bit monotone, which made staying engaged difficult. His lecture is not really worth attending because his tests use the questions from the CD from the text. I just memorized the answers and haven't attended class but received an A on the first test.

Found him boring to listen to at times but could be pretty funny. His class was very easy! As long as you do the practice questions you will ace his tests.

Lecture on Pentecostalism - Dr. Robinson's forte. It was very interesting and he has a good (albeit odd) sense of humor. Final essay was easy because I asked him for lots of help, which he was more than willing to provide. Midterm was a little harder than expected, but final was 3 essays that he gave us beforehand. Super easy to study for those!

The class is really easy, IF you read the reader/textbook. This is absolutely necessary. His lectures cover little to none of what's on the tests. Do the practice questions.

Although he was struck with bells palsy (paralysis of half the face) he was still extremely interesting to listen to. The easiest university prof I have ever had, you could just listen to his lectures and then focus on the disc for exams and you would get an easy A. Enjoyed his random wisecracks that mak sure you are awake and listening.

Only attend class if you enjoy his jokes, his lectures are otherwise useless. Skim over the chapter from the reader once or twice before the exams, and memorize the answers to the CD-ROM questions included with the textbook. Very easy A.

I had Tom for first term of the course and it was a blast. He's a fun teacher who likes to joke around. Had a bit of trouble understanding him throughout and even more after he suffered some paralysis in his face. Tests are extremely easy and straight from the CD-Rom that comes with the textbook. Highly advise taking his course!

Alright prof, lectures were not to bad, occasionally cracked a funny joke. Notes were not particularly helpful (that is the ones he provide which are sparse) and would recommend making text notes yourself. Easy texts, use practice question disc.
