Professor Sea stands out in my mind as one of my best professors at Western. As a UWO graduate who has gone on to become a high school History teacher, I often find myself thinking of Professor Sea's incredible lectures and aspiring to teach like him. He is an incredible asset to Western.

The most brilliant history professor Western has ever had! His classes were amazing and a highlight of my university career. Gave great feedback on assignments to help you improve and was always available to help. An icon!

I was surprised to read all of the postive reviews, I had Dr. Sea in the early 90's and did not find him to be particularly enjoyable or very nice at all. The weight of anecdotal evidence seems to be against me, though, so maybe it was my problem? Perhaps if I took a course with him now it would be different. Back then, thoughI dreaded his class

5 years later, and I still remember vivid details of this course, esp. the Reformation. He's a fantastic teacher. I usually wished I didn't have to take notes because I wanted to sit there, absorbing everything he said without racing to write everything down. I'd suggest bringing a voice recorder to class! He's the best! A++

Great prof! I took another class of his just because he was teaching. Although the subject matter isn't the easiest, he gives interesting little bits of info, and is incredibly knowledgeable.

Professor Sea is easily one of the greatest professors on campus. It will be a sad day when he retires. I don't think you can sit in his lecture and not enjoy what he is saying- how can he make time in the 16th c. interesting? Yet he somehow does it. The essay marks largely depend on who your TA is- they make our break you. Great Great Prof.

Ten years later, and I still tell people Dr. Sea was wonderful - the lecture on the Fugger family is still clear in my head to this day, and he changed the direction of my career. If you have a chance, take anything he teaches.

Dr. Sea has quite possibly changed my whole sphere of interest in History. Just because of his influence, I've come to enjoy European and German history on a level i've never imagined. I loved his 236 class and i'm taking his 372 seminar class just for him. He is a rather tough marker though... You need to put in the work!
