Thomas Wong is the WORST professor I've ever had. You will learn absolutely nothing from this class and attendance is mandatory. Save yourself the hassle and don't take him. Homework is in the form of journals and you must do them to pass the class. 1 midterm and 1 final in essay format. Look for the answers online, don't bother reading the book.

He was the worst prof I have ever had at CSUF. He never taught anything; he would let the textbooks (2 100$ books! what a jerk!) and movies do all the teaching. The journals were time consuming and boring. Not to mention that he practically died in our class and we had to get a new prof for the last 3 weeks... then i actually gained some knowledge!

Very boring class. Finds a way to relate every subject discussed back to farming rituals of Ancient China. Only real work done in the class is having to write several journals. If you keep up on the journals and readings you should be fine. Trust me, doing 20 journals in 24 hours is the most exhausting experience ever.

I've been in his class for 2 weeks and I HATE it! He's always 15+ minutes late & almost everyone leaves class before he gets there. After he finally arrives, he just tells everyone to "please be quiet" in his annoying, droning voice and pops in a video from the 70's. If you get him, switch before it's too late & save yourself a lot of misery.

Wong is extremely boring! He tries to shove his beliefs on every student, regardless of their opinions. He takes roll so attendance is mandatory, but you can easily leave after 5 min and still get points. If you don't wanna take the chance, bring a comp and sit on the internet the entire time. Read the book and do the journals and you're set!

Usually I would never do something like this, but Tom Wong is an exception. An absolutely horrible teacher. Unprepared, always late, and often changes the syllabus. He is biased and speaks from his own knowledge and often speaks wrongly of other cultures. He is a bore and classes are mandatory for a grade. Little opportunities to earn points.

Imagine Ben Stein in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." THIS IS THAT CLASS. He is extremely boring, no one pays attention. He takes roll, so go to class. And do the journals--those will save you. Worst professor I have ever had. Class is very dull and boring.No tests, only Essays.They are somewhat easy because he gives you 5 of the possible prompts, journals absolutely suck. Keep up on the journals because writing 40 one paged journals the night before is not fun! No need to really read the book. Only used for journals. He takes roll DAILY.

This class is very easy. The only homework you have is journals which are collected twice and tests so as long as you do those you can get a good grade. However, all he does is talk and he is very monotone. Its hard to find motivation to go to class cuz its so boring. One big problem I have is that he tries to shove his beliefs down your throat.
