Elliott has been one of my favorite professors here at MU. I have been in many of the shows here at MU and he has made each one of them a fun, new experience! His Acting 1 class is a blast and he is very helpful!! I definitely recommend taking him!

Comment:

Awesome teacher, awful director. Made sure you knew about all the upcoming plays in the area to do reports on and especially which ones were cheapfree. Expect a lot of pain if working under him on a show, frequently seemed to have no clue what he was doing outside of scheduling and directing the actors. Easy to set up meetings with though.

By far the best option for speech class, his grading scale seemed pretty tough but he really didn't take that many points off if your work was complete and on time. Do not miss class. Always do an outline. Easy tests; one group project. Better than Comm teachers!

This guy is a great teacher, especially for speech class. I wasn't ever great at public speaking but I feel he made me better. Even when you need improvements on a speech, he tells you exactly what you need to do in order to do better the next time. I would take him for another class if I have the oppurtunity too. He's fun to have a class with.

Nice guy, and the tests are a breeze. With speeches, he will mark you off for every little flaw, so make sure you prepare!! Also, he seems to treat the class more like a high school class. It did not really feel like a college class. I didn't think it was that bad, but sometimes I felt as if I was being treated like I was a child. Not bad, tho!

ive had some bad professors at millersville.... and tony elliot is not one of them! Acting I was amazing and way to much for fun for an academic class, but it's not for everyone! He's a good teacher and he really knows what hes talking about when it comes to this stuff. I loved it, i wish all my classes were like that

I loooooved acting one. It was definitely a blast. Tony has a funky personality, and the relaxed atmosphere is a nice break from academia. He isn't an easy grader, but he grades you based on improvement you've made, not how close you are to his vision. I also took his london theatre course over the summer, and that was great too!

I've worked with him as my director, adviser, and professor. He's a very intelligent man, and he knows what he wants. I like that in a director. He may seem a little overbearing sometimes, but he's got a vision. Trust it and go with it. As for classes, he tries his hardest to make uninteresting things interesting. Good teacher. Great guy.

This class was a blast!!! Best winter course ever. The scenes are so fun to perform, he is very fair when it comes to grading. The bios for each character are not hard and help you develop your skills. He is a little protective of his props, but who wouldn't be. He helps you focus your scenes and is always available. I recommend!
