Comment:
Tony teaches based off memory which may be complicated as long as your a good listener should be fine, he does show visuals which helps. Textbook was also helpful. He provides you with study guides before exams and he uses most of the exact questions from the guide on the actual exam.

This guy knows his stuff. I skipped a lot of his classes (unfortunately, I found a lot of them to be repetitive and boring) HOWEVER; this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The things you need to know really get drilled into your head. If you follow his study guides before exams, you'll do just fine.

Brilliant man, his lectures are extremely dry as he teaches mostly from memory but he knows his stuff. His exams are super easy to get A's on if you study the question sheets he provides. Will try to take as many classes from him as I can, super straight forward instructor it's easy to succeed in his class

Tony is obviously very passionate about psychology and is very knowledgeable. He is very old-school and does almost nothing online but that works for some. Read the text before class and he can clarify in his lectures but you cannot pass this class just by showing up. Great guy!

Comment:
Tony is brilliant. It's simply amazing how such complicated information just rolls off his tongue like there's nothing to it. He has a lot of experience working with neuro patients so is able to relate the course work to many cases of patients he worked with. Read the text, take notes and listen in class and do the exam prep sheet he hands out.

Tony is really passionate about psych, and has a lot of knowledge which Is part of why he is such an excellent prof. Reading the textbook is absolutely necessary for a good mark. All classes are lecture classes, with little information that can be written down, it's better to try and listen and absorb. As a person, he is very approachable and nice

Tony is a brilliant prof and an incredible human being. I genuinely enjoyed his cheesy jokes and his passion for psyc was evident. However never go to his class tired. It will no longer seem engaging, and I actually fell asleep for almost 15 minutes once! He is very flexible, helpful, approachable, and understanding. Make sure you read the text!

He's easy to listen to, and keeps the lecture material interesting by adding funny stories and anecdotes. He's extremely approachable, and marks his tests by answering every single question that was wrong, making the tests able to be studied. He's also very flexible for assignment due dates. Easily one of the best profs at VIU. Highly recommend.

I took four courses from Tony R. and he is brilliant, unassuming, a kind and dedicated prof. If you are interested, he can teach you more than anyone else will. Very helpful. Best prof I had in my whole six years doing a B.A. at V.I.U. and UVic.

Comment:
I've taken multiple classes with Tony. He doesn't do notes, and thus it can be a bit hard to stay awake when he spends the entire time just talking, but he's a lovely person and very understanding of having other coursework. He'll give credit for making an effort, and is more than willing to help with anything! Very approachable, very kind.

Tony does not give you notes, which can be frustrating. However, reading the text book beforehand will make understanding the material much easier. He's so nice and interested in what your strengths are and will take the time to talk to you. He's not a hard marker, either. Only if you put the work in!

I love him! I've taken 3 classes with him. I love his teaching style, anecdotes to make topics interesting, and, yes, even his cheesy jokes. He really cares that you understand and wants everyone to enjoy the topic as much as he does. Tests/assign. are fairly easy if you do the reading. A great prof and an even greater person!!
