I struggled in math in the past. Vernon's teaching style allowed me to understand the concepts, excel, & receive an excellent grade. Online lectures are provided - able to re-watch them a dozen times to understand the concepts. Dr. Vernon wants his students to exceed & learn to the best of their capabilities. I would recommend taking this course.

Comment:

Took 2810 online over the summer to avoid biostats. Vernon and Livia made the course great! Lectures are mostly short and clear-cut. The exam questions are straight from the assignments. Highly recommend. Also don't waste your money on a textbook - I didn't buy one and it is not needed AT ALL!

Amazing prof! Stats is the child of satan and yet I passed with flying colours because he gives you so many opportunities to bring your marks up. He is very organized and gives quizzes every other week and assignments every week that are time consuming but worth the effort! just practice past exams and you'll be golden for the exams! loovee him 3

I hate math... like have never in my life gotten above a 65 in math. Yet, in Vernon's class I have an 80 average! He explains things so clearly and is so helpful I have never . He has weekly assignments that are very time consuming but are excellent and prepare you for the exams. I definitely recommend taking his class!

Dr. Vernon is AWESOME. Hands down amazing. Had a wonderful year learning stats under the guidance of Dr. Vernon's crystal clear lectures. The TAs all kick ass - you seriously can't go wrong regardless of which one you have. Both the TAs and Dr. Vernon are always willing to help and respond to emails super fast. Highly recommend this course !

Wonderful prof. Makes lessons very clear (& short!), and often injects humour into his teachings. Very approachable when you have problems. Tests and quizzes are marked very fast, and the textbook was not required.

Best prof ever!!! Hate stats but he made the material so easy to understand. Very informative and nice prof, does everything he can to help you and doesn't judge his students. Fair exams, probably the best prof I've had at uwo yet. Highly recommend!

Never had such a great professor at western. Got 67 my first year of stats here (I'm brutal at math) and finished with a 90 in his course. If you're scared of math, take his section! He will always help you and is ALWAYS available to help you. His TA Liv even has her own facebook group. 1 word= AMAZING. He is the jesus of stats

Amazing prof. If you struggled with stats first year make sure you get this guy. I had a 68 first year got a 94 in his class. If you stay on top of the work and go for help you'll do fine. His class average is always above 80. Great guy

Absolutely fantastic prof! Incredibly intelligent, helpful and truly cares about student success. He goes through material quickly, but he does not make it complicated and is always available to help during his office hours. If you are 'scared' of stats, take his course! There should be more profs like him.
