Awesome professor! Made lectures very interesting and they went by really quick. She doesn't post slides but as long as you take good notes during lecture you'll be fine. Exams were fair based on the material taught, just make sure you know dates/timelines. Would love to take another class from her!

Extremely nice prof and has a passion for the topic. Her lecture material has changed from previous years making her notes fairly in-cohesive and more difficult to study. Know your timelines inside and out for exams. She loves discussions in class, ask lots of questions. She does her best teaching when answering intriguing questions

An excellent prof, easily one of my favourites. She knows her material and how to keep topics interesting, and is open to discussion. You walk out of her class feeling like you learned a lot. Exams can be a little tough but easy enough if you study. Wish she taught more archaeology courses!

Swanston is very clear in her lectures. As long as you take notes and pay attention to the little things you will pass the class. Midterm was easy and the final was fair. However, the lab is a different story, if you struggle with memorization this is not the class for you. There is a lot of species, dates, locations, and bones to memorize.

I thought Treena was a great prof. You have to attend the lectures because she doesn't post her slides but they weren't bad at all. She's really helpful and willing to meet with you if you have any questions about the material or tests.

First of all, she's adorable. Always smiling when she's talking. Always passionate. Very friendly. They need to give her a nicer office ASAP. Make sure you go to class, notes are not posted. Lab requires good memorization skills. Midterm fairly easy. Most interesting class ever taken in university, out of my 39 classes.

She was a really good prof. Usually ended class a little early. She doesn't post notes so you have to go to the class but the classes were enjoyable. She adds lots of videos to help people understand more. Would take this class again!

Notes are not posted so you should attend the lectures in order to learn. She covers lab material in lectures. Will bring up new developments in the field. There was one midterm and it was all multiple choice. Reading the textbook is very useful. Get the newest version since terminology used is changing

If you are intersted in Archaeology and not just taking the class as an elective then im sure its great. But as a student taking the class as an open elective I could not stand this prof. She assumes you know so much and she assumes you are as passionate about Arch as she is. Notes arent great. Do not recommend. Even so, shes a nice lady.

Fantastic prof. Anybody who says otherwise is a freshman who knows nothing about being a university student and thinks that this is high school. She is very engaging and funny and makes classes very enjoyable. If you go to all the classes and study all the material you should get an 80+ if not that is your own fault for being a bad student.

Her lectures are way disorganized and completely disconnected from the textbook. It merely contains pictures and just a few key points here and there. She tends to jump around different topics in the chapter which makes it hard for me to understand what she's saying. Vague instructions for exams. Not recommending at all! Avoid by all means!

She did a good job of teaching the class and is a very nice person. There was only two midterms and a final, so it was quite easy. The material is very interesting, but there are a lot of dates which make it confusing to remember for tests.

Absolutely amazing professor! An incredibly kind, approachable, and intelligent woman who is deeply passionate about archaeology. Very clear teaching style + grading criteria; classes were fascinating + taught me so much. Wasn't very interested in arch before but I really love it now. Truly one of the best professors I've ever had. Take this class!

I found that this prof is all over the place. One minute she's discussing something with great detail, we are taking notes, and she stops- "Oh, actually, forget that. You won't need to know this until you take *a different course* in the future". I think she's very nice, but her powerpoints are a tad disorganized and she seems to run off topic.

She was leading an human evolution lab last year. Trina was extremly ,helpful and friendly. She is so attractive and has a beautiful smile.Sometimes I was distracted and found it hard to concentrate. I couldn't speak higher than a whisper around her. She is an excellent leader and deserves her post.

Hello...is anyone interested in actually applying themselves in a university class? Why would you give this prof top marks when it's obvious her class is not a challenge? Why should a prof get top ratings for smiling and her looks? What about academics itself? How shallow so many of you are.
